Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Clean bedroom/bathroom. Good breakfast (We didn't have an evening meal there). Bed was too soft for me ( I have a bad back though). Noise from the road outside (no double glazing). I was travelling with elderly mother and there was no lift to bedroom but staff very helpful and carried our bags up for us.

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a function held there. Reception was efficient. The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was good and the meal at the function was also good. Overall a reasonable stabdard business type hotel. We were on the road side of the hotel which was a little nosier than I expected as the hotel (or at least our room) did not have double glazing.

Close to station. Ideal for visiting Alsager. A good hotel, but poor bed.

Very friendly staff who were very willing and enthusiastic to serve. The shower soap/hairwash being screwed to the wall meant the younger children could not use it while bathing without standing up.

The food was excellent, we tried both the A la Carte one night which was fab and similarly the Bar food was excellent quality (beef stroganoff - not your scampi and chips) Too much chlorine in the pool, very sore eyes afterwards for all of us. Nothing else, rest was great.

I live in the Lake District but have family in the vicinity. When they are unable to provide accommodation I stay at the Manor House Hotel. On this occasion the reason for my visit was to attend a funeral. I found the staff at reception and in the bar and dining room friendly and helpful. Room service was excellent. Car parking - no problem. I shall come again.

We enjoyed our stay in Alsager. We were a large group and they ( the staff ) were fantastic in helping us with all our needs. All the staff were kind and very cheerful what ever time of the day or night we arrived back! An elevator to the second floor if that is at all possible?

When leaving (very) early to catch our next ferry, having breakfast delivered spot on time was great, delivery was so timely it could have replaced the wake-up call! The staff did their very best to accommodate the extra bed we had requested, even though the request had not come through. The staff truly write Welcome with a capitol!

Stayed one night at the Manor House hotel, and was met with very friendly service. Staff at reception, in particular, were extremely helpful and positive. I had left a coat in my room and they were very efficient adn posted it to me as soon as I contacted them. If I were in the area again I would definitely go back. The Wi-fi wasn't very good as the connection kept dropping. However, staff were helpful and immediately provided a LAN-option which was a little bit better. If the hotel gets many business customers it might be worth investing in a more advanced Wi-fi system.

The unusual breakfast of oakcakes - a type of wheat pancake with cheese and bacon. The unpretentious swimming pool. The staff at reception were very helpful. Having a formal dining room but also the bar.

Isolation, welcoming accommodating staff, quiet Nothing, though the chlorine smell from the pool pervaded a lot of the hotel public area (not the bedrooms).

Pleasant and comfortable stay. Friendly response staff to any problems we had on the heating and lighting of our rooms, and the quality of our evening meal. Whilst the staff were very helpful, the evening meal could have been warmer.

Close to m6 but 'off the beaten track'; close to family; comfortable and friendly. Perhaps because it was a quiet time (between xmas and ny) but the breakfast wasn't great - luke-warm tea and coffee on both mornings we stayed. And the bar seemd shut in the evenings (shutters down at about 9.30 pm) although the bar-man/duty person did some out to serve us. At another time, it may have been busier and therefore more 'on top' of things.

Our room had cobwebs hanging from all the light fittings, and the chair under the dressing table was covered in dust, so much so, I wrote please clean me on the seat. This chair could not have been cleaned for months, or the carpet under it. Also one lampshade was hanging broken off the bedside lamp I have family and friends living in Alsager, and we dined in the hotel on the night of our stay, they would not believe me about the state of our room until I pointed out to them that all the light fittings in the foyer of the hotel were also very dirty, the worst of all was right inside the main entrance. What an advert for a hotel. Very Sad to see such poor standards of cleaning

“Staff very friendly and competant. Hotel was very clean and well run. For longer staying guests like us the designated parking spot was well appreciated. We were in town for a funeral so overall it worked very well staying at Crewe Hall and it is a beautiful building.” Andrew, Calgary, Ab |
