Welcoming friendly people , lovely décor and a room I could quite happily live in. The breakfast was varied and very tastyThis place is great.
The food, interesting range of cooked breakfast and wonderful dinner. We also ate at a highly rated restaurant in Ruthin which we enjoyed very much but agreed that Manorhaus had the edge. The (superior size) room was comfortable and airy and the staff helpful, friendly and attentive (but not intrusive).
There is emphasis on style which is fine. The fact that I didn't like the paintings hanging in our room doesn't make them bad paintings (although I think they were). Some of the fittings (from Ikea) are beginning to show their age and need replacing but the room and bathroom were very clean.
Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly welcoming and helpful. Nice decorations and facilities.
Didnt sleep a wink due to really uncomfortable pillows. Also the cooked welsh breakfast was very poor. Small portion. Eggs extremely over cooked, sausage was horrible and tomatoes were burnt. Very disappointed.
The evening meal was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The bedroom was warm, cosy and very comfortable. We didn't watch a film in the cinema, but the room was very impressive, tucked away in the cellar, well sound proofed and something we should have used. Perhaps next time.
Parking was a couple of hundred yards away which wouldn't be very good in bad weather.
It was all about the customer, Gavin rang us to ask if we wanted to keep the kitchen open. As we were delayed due to a breakdown coming from the airport. So, thoughtful. The room was lovely, great shower. Very tasty breakfast, and on our second night we had dinner at the restaurant. The food was excellent, with great service by Angharhad. I wanted to impress my lovely American wife on our first days of living in Wales, and thanks to the Manorhaus, I did.
Everything about it was customer focused. Brilliant customer service, fantastic food and other extras I.e sauna room and private cinema.
Cost, location, comfort, coffee.
Being to drunk to open the front door at 01:30.
Lovely little village - great hotel - very friendly. Lovely little old pubs and great places to eat ... Near to shopping and near to mounting biking and walks. Hotel easy to get too, very nice staff - very comfortable
The room for the cost was poor. The ensuieT was obviously an after thought and for the price was nothing special. I also had to park my car some distance from the premises which had a lot of expensive items in and felt uneasy. Leaving it where I did.
As above. Also as the hotel was closed dining in the hotel meat there was very little atmosphere.
Location central, although no prominent signage meant driving up the street three times before identifying the Manorhaus. Good room and quality furniture, comfortable bed.
The overall feeling of hospitality was lukewarm at best. On arrival around 5.15pm, we were told we could not be accommodated for dinner, which was disappointing. On enquiring at another location there was surprise from that restauranteur too that room guests at the Manorhaus could not be accommodated in their own restaurant. I suggest future bookers check in advance if want to dine esp if Saturdays are busy. Quite noisy with singing passing revellers after midnight but on the main street and warned of that in the hotel literature.
Modern decor Lovely art work throughout Well thought out Lovely guest library Friendly and personal
Our bathroom was a wet room which we're not fans of Parking was offsite which we hadn't realised before we arrived
We arrived to a warm welcome from Gavin. The room and facilities were excellent, we had a restful sleep and a fantastic breakfast. We chose ManorHaus for our 20th wedding anniversary, something quiet and special, and this is exactly what we got. Will definitely be returning. Many thanksxxx
There was nothing!!
Everything about this place is lovely - rooms beautiful and great ambience in the place. Location is very good and Gavin made us feel very welcome
Clean, tidy, good facilities, Breakfast fine.
Decor, staff, position Breakfast was good !
Bar was quiet, restaurant even quieter ,no atmosphere in either, so we went out for the night
Good breakfast and nice room
Had a room at the front and it was noisy
Toilet brush needs changing in our room.
Food was very good.the feature bath in the room
Staff at reception exceptional Comfortable rooms Breakfast outstanding Location to other places Ability to park close
Everything clean, comfortable & good quality with attentive, friendly staff.
Probably priced to include luxuries such as the cinema, which we didn't use
The boutique style - different. Gavin was very friendly and attentive. We were given a permit to park for free in the nearby public car park.
The bedroom door was difficult to open/ close and lock/unlock.
The hotel is situated in a lovely area .The staff are always very attentive nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are individually decorated and very clean and very comfortable beds The food is 5 star quality absolutely fabulous and the breakfast wonderful .its our 3rd visit and will return again .Another fab stay.
The friendness and effeciency of the staff. The cleanessness and the comfort of the place. The dinner was fabulous.
Some of the facilities were not functioning very well such as the sauna and steam room. I wish if the was a simple gym room.
