BeautifUl location and the grand building

Staff not attentive and the poor lesuire facilities also for the cost of the trip the food was mediocre.

very welcoming all staff were on the ball as you would expect from a more expensive hotel. Expensive food and drink as you would also expect from such a hotel which makes it difficult to justify on a mid range business expense account.

The warm welcome by the staff , luxurious surroundings , but very warm and cosy , instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived . The dinner in the Crystal dining room second to none and the whole stay an absolute delight. All of your worries and stress will slip away when you go to stay at this beautiful hotel and the wonderful staff will do their very best to make it happen.

Relaxing

the staff were very professional, attentive and courteous the building and furnishings were lovely The hotel room was spacious and had everything we needed the breakfast selection was excellent the staff in the spa were really nice lovely views across to the river clyde

the ceiling in our room had cobwebs the TV was difficult to use when walking round the grounds, the back of the hotel was a bit messy. there was dog poo on the grass round the corner from the entrance the coverings over the chairs in the Cristal restaurant made it look cheap

Excellent service, food and accommodation. We have twins (under 2), and staff couldn't do more to make us comfortable. We like a ground floor room which is spacious enough for 2 cots. The leisure suite is great and the restaurant food is first class. We'll be back.

They often get the bill wrong. A small point and doesn't put us off.

Excessive cost of meals and drinks

Odd configuration of room meant that the only place you could watch television was when in bed - which rather made the comfy chairs surplus to requirements.

The restaurant and staff were really good for both breakfast and dinner. The evening ambience was very romantic with live piano in the lounge

Room was pretty basic for a 5 star hotel. We had booked a deluxe room and requested a 4 poster but none were available when we arrived. There was also a wedding which took over the lounge area as we were trying to have a quiet coffee . It would have been better if they had been taken to a private reception area as we had to push our way back through the crowd to try end get back to our room

Restaurant service very slow both evenings we eat there.

We booked a delux room and were not disapointed, the room and bathroom were very spacious with a lovely view.
