A delightful B&B, tucked away in the beautiful rolling hills outside of Beattock, Marchbankwood House is easily accessible from the main road yet still peaceful and secluded. Our host were friendly and accommodating. Even the dog greeted us warmly and entertained us with a game of "fetch". We really enjoyed our one night stay at this B&B. Room was extremely comfortable, spacious and clean, en-suite facilities were also good. We stayed in a lovely large room at the top of the stairs, bed was very comfortable and free WiFi was available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - it was cooked to perfection and there was a varied selection for all tastes We would recommend to anyone looking to explore the area.

    Nothing.

I was at Marchbankwood with a friend and we only stayed one night to break our long journey, so it sutied us very well and it made a perfect final night to our hooliday.

We enjoy walking and had we stayed longer we might have wished for more accessible walks in the immediate vicinity but as Moffat is very close, it would not really have been a problem.
