Sally was so friendly and helpful. The views from our bedroom and the breakfast room. Having a vegetarian breakfast option! Huge bed and great sized bedroom. The setting was beautiful .

Warm friendly hosts, family atmosphere. Unfussy and very accommodating . All in all in all a great place to stay with an excellent breakfast and ooooh so comfy beds. Miss it at your peril. A gem, how things should be done. Excellent, enough said.

Marchbankwood is an excellent stopping off point before travelling further.

The period property was beautiful and the position enviable. We were made to feel most welcome the whole time we were there, nothing was too much trouble.... Lovely people, lovely experience, we wouldn't hesitate to book again!

The staff were genuinely friendly, the setting relaxing, the rooms large and bright with all amenities and the food excellent. I would certainly recommend a visit.

Great setting, spacious room & bathroom, very clean and nicely decorated. Fantastic breakfast and plenty to choose from the menu. Proprietors were more than helpful and were there to greet you when I turned up. Lovely touches in the bedroom like sweets, biscuits & coffee making facilities. Warm rooms and very comfortable bed.

Very little to complain about. TV was a little small by modern standards but it was good enough to keep me quiet in the evening!

Very impressed with the quality of the hotel and service. Excellent value for money.

No bar so had to drive to Moffat for drink which meant as driver could not indulge myself

The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing...from the outside on arrival we were a bit doubtfull on our choise but were very glad we stayed there as when we entered the rooms etc they were fantastic

the location is a bit far from town so you need to drive if you want to go out for dinner

A very large room with beautifuk views. Lovely people, great dog and cats, Very comfortable, Interesting breakfast choice makes a change from baked beans and fried bread...had a potato cake topped with poached agg and grilled bacon...just right!

Friendly owners. Superb rooms with space and comfort. Great location just far enough away from the M74. A great place to stop en route north/south or if in the area.

I would have liked a bigger television! In summer you may not get the fabulous aroma from the log fire in the main hall; glorious. That's it.
