Comfortable rooms each with its own shower and sink. The communal kitchen is well equipped and clean. Location is good. We walked everywhere from the house. The bus station was only 15 minutes away where there were shuttles to the airport. The staff were friendly.
Nothing to dislike. Just a couple cautions. The house is up on a steep slope. People with weak knees may not like it. It would be nice if the staff or the house can offer some useful information about local restaurants and such.
premier inn £175 a night your taking the *** my stay here was £82 for 3 nights for the games what a bargin
no one cooked my breakfast and bought me a cup of tea in bed lol
Comfy bed Quiet area Security Pleasant staff Easy check in & check out
The hotel is located near to the center of Glasgow. Not far from the hotel, approximately ten minutes walk, there is a bus station so this is very useful either you are in Glasgow as a tourist or for business. I was very pleased with the accommodation and the staff personal is very polite. The price I have payed is more than reasonable. I would definitively recommend to try and book at Margaret Macdonald House if you plan to go to Glasgow!
The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were nice and clean and fresh. Shower was reliable with hot/cold water. Location is excellent, walking distance to shopping. I'd definitely stay again!
1) no mini frig in the room; that would have been nice to have.
I like the location of the place, the cleanliness of the entire place, its quiet and peaceful. I was able to do my news articles anytime during my stay at Margaret Macdonalds. Am looking forward to staying there again soon. It was a lovely place.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the city centre, which was only a few minutes walk. Outstanding value!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accessible washing facilities were very good.
The fact you are on such a steep hill. For a wheelchair user it was very difficult. Maybe if you know you are having a person with a disability staying with you and if it was practical having an extra member of staff so if someone phones and needs assistance you would be able to help but only if it is practical.
Staff is very courtesy and helpful.
Water current is very weak.
a single room for the price of a bed in a shared room in an hostel! Good for a rest having a kitchen helps to stay on a budget!
Ensuite shower, staff very friendly and helpful. On site washing facilities, communal kitchen/living area which meant that i could cook own food which kept cost down. Good location. Free wifi included.
Its a bit noisy with the doors slamming all the time but that is to be expected so didnt really fuss me (have slept in halls before).
Great especially for solo travellers -> Single rooms for fair prices
Price, Parking, Cleanliness, Price, WIFI (and it's speed), & lastly Price.
Lack of cooking utensils to go with the well equipped kitchen. A little confusing logging on to WIFI.
Nothing to dislike.
the price is cheap
it was kinda hard to find the location of the hotel when i came
The bedroom was comfortable. There was Wifi throughout. The kitchen was spacious and welll eqipped. The lounge /diner was also good.
Wash basin clogged (this was promptly resoved). The shower tap very stiff and almost impossible to turn on/off.
cost parking simple no fuss booking staff available 8 till 8
tv would be nice
location, comfy bed, friendly staff, very clean
noise from unoiled doors that slam unless you're very careful
The location was a 20 min walk from the train station and about a 15 min walk from the bus station. Wifi worked perfectly after registering for the service. The facilities were pretty old, but it was still okay.
My room was next to the living room/kitchen that was used by everyone on my floor. Since the door was opened frequently and loudly, it was rather noisy. I managed to sleep though.
Location, just a walk away from centre. Cleanliness of the room.
Room was clean, though a bit smelly. No towels available, unless purchased from reception (would have been good to know when checked in).
I really enjoyed my two days stay, the location is superb, comfortable and quet and lovely place.
Hmmm, though there is internet facilities, but I can't browse due to issues from the wireless device in the hotel room. All the same I had a wonderful experience.
Bed was very comfortable and wifi was quick.
Not clear in description that this is usually a university halls with no tv Shower/toilet room is very cramped and shower drain was blocked. Noisy neighbours oustide the building and banging fire doors inside. Walls are very thin - I could hear the snorer next door.
Kitchen with facilities, good wifi
bit basic in design, but that was perhaps because it was very economy accomodation
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Provided extra pillow and help on walking to my commonwealth games training locations as a volunteer. As student rooms they were as to be expected, basic but have to say my bed was firm & very comfortable.
Bathroom was a little small for me, but at 6ft4" probably why. No towels, remember own or can buy from venue.
