    Spotless, comfort and scenic views

Breakfast choice restrictions. Cereal is usually available in addition to toast and English Breakfast. If this is the case the menu choice selection given is misleading.

The location, cleanliness and the owners were very friendly.

Lots of stairs when you're elderly, also very rigid on breakfast time 9a.m. only, and not allowed a fried egg!!

Virginia was very welcoming as we arrived and was very efficient, the car park pass was a Godsend and our car never moved for the full three days we stayed there. The room was lovely and clean and the beds were so comfy. Toiletries are amazing. Breakfast was of a good quality, well laid out and nothing was too much trouble for Virginia. The discount card to many attractions and restaurants etc. is a lovely touch and saved us a fair amount of money. The location is excellent and not too far a walk to a regular sea front bus service. Would definitely stay here again. Well done Virginia and Ian and Thank you for a lovely holiday. xx

    Nothing.

We had a very friendly welcome. Our luggage was carried upstairs into the room. Virginia was very helpful all the time and gave us useful information about Scarborough and the environment. The guest house was quiet and we had a lovely view of the sea and the beach. The breakfast was good. We can highly recommend Marine View Guest House.

    Seaview, friendly staff and comfortable.

Need to be informed that the choice of eggs for fully English can be either scrambled or poached. Instead of being given scrambled.

The couple that own this place are a really nice couple and could not help enough, very friendly welcoming on arriving and very open and helpful during breakfast.

Could not fault anything during our stay and booking again soon.

location. Helpful proprietors. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Fair sized room. Good ensuite though instruction for the shower would be helpful.

rather a dingy, subterranean breakfast room. Breakfast a bit tasteless. Bedroom windows not very clean

Sea view from first floor room. Friendly family run establishment.

Heating problems encountered throughout the stay. TV position in the room was poor (too high). Full english breakfast was of 'dubious' quality. Bed was too hard.

How friendly helpful and accommodating the staff were. It was an arranged trip for my grandparents and they loved it. The owner helped me sort out everything absolutely brilliant!

We lined the location and the views from outside the hotel. Within the hotel was how I would imagine a stay in prison to be.

The room was very small and altho described accurately we were shocked at the size of the room and were only able to use the bathroom by manoeuvring sideways across the end of the bed. The breakfast room was in the cellar and had no view outside and the decorations was to say the least dated to say the least. Not for anyone overweight taller than average height infirm or claustrophobic

We booked this huest house as a last minute alternative after our botched honeymoon trip to Dalaman. We almost didn't want to leave. The hotel was very peaceful and serene. The location on a hilltop was perfect for good aerial sea view. The room was the cleanest I have ever stayed in any hotel/guest house - it was spotless. Virginia the manager was fantastic - she certainly knows what hospitality is about. She was always on hand to help. Breakfast was excellent and on time. Overall, we had a very fantastic at the hotel an would highly recommend Marine View Guest House.

I can't think of anything in particular I did not like other than the fact that, foods are not allowed into the rooms as obtained in almost all guest houses.
