Location and sea view
I wasn't told about the party in the bar on Saturday night
Everything as described
en suite a bit small
- extremely well taken care of dependencies and details, given a feeling of warmth and home - good breakfast food a nice service
- may they refurbish the hotel entrance, you have to keep pushing one internal door while opening the street door
Price and Location
Long instruction speech from the women when I check in. She was angry as well.
The magnificent view,nice friendly staff.
good location nice tasty food friendly staff value for money
poor wifi scary lift needs modernisation not enough breakfast
Nice en suite bathroom. Friendly helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere
Good sea front location, Friendly staff, clean tidy and spacious rooms
Staff, decor, location.
Nowt to criticize.
I was super impressed with the room we got. Top floor, sea view, well appointed and very clean. For 64 squid a night, was well pleased with that. Decent breakfast too, with a cooked offering, plus a huge array of fruits and cereals. Staff were very friendly.
Well, maybe one staff member not quite as friendly as the others!
Room was very damp and cold. Lots of condensation on windows. Very outdated in need of refurbishment.
Carol, Jerome, family and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms basic but clean with coffee/tea making facilities. Tv with various channels. Right on the front opposite beach, parking and bus stops. The breakfast was of high standard with plenty of variety.
Location to all amenities
Nothing to declare
Accomodation was very suitable and just what we both required for our weekend stay. The food was plentiful, the staff were very good and helpful when necessary. We enjoyed our visit and would come again if the opportunity arose. The lift was a must for us both, thank you all.
Personally, we were satisfied with what was available. If we had to make a comment, I would suggest an evening meal or snacks in the lounge, with a drink or two, could be favourable. However the "Pub" next door was a good option.
I used the hotel for a short stay. Whilst it is no frills it has a central location, clean rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Nothing really, don't expect the Ritz and you won't be disappointed.
sea view room, going to sleep listening to sea.good pub small walk away.breakfast was full english .enjoyed stay.stayed in a single seaview room.
Stairs, smell, tired rooms, entrance
It was cheap
No takeaway food aloud in rooms ,tiny bathroom and bedroom ,cleaner did it clean just made the bed and the list can go on.
The location was superb. Staff was very helpful too.
The decor / bathroom facility was a bit old plus the lift too.
Sea view, adequate hot breakfast. Close to reopened pier.
Could do with repaint job on the outside but it's obvious that upgrading is still being carried out throughout which is laudable.
The room was clean The staff was very welcoming friendly and helpful The breakfast was well done and the dinning area well organise
The bathroom water was not that warm and no fresh fruit in breakfast
Location, views and helpful staff day and night. Fantastic pub next door, superb atmosphere.
Bedroom a bit outdated, bathroom clean and modern.
the location is great, just by the promenade
the mattress was a bit old and not too comfortable
The position of the hotel in relation to the beach, pier and restaurants. Great sea views.
The owners wife is rude and abrupt and acted towards guests in an unproffesional manner. Our room was like a run down students room with tired ancient fittings, a leaking toilet and broken wardrobe and draw fronts. There was no evening meals avalible over the weekend and only in the week if a coach party was in( a usual occurance we were informed). The website is misleading and dated. There is no parking and we had to park 10 mins away in a multi story carpark for the week. The entrance to the hotel is difficult unless you are fully able-bodied as there are steep steps up to the front door which is opened by a key, which makes it even more difficult as you then have to push through another heavy fire door. One day the owners wife opened the door as we were struggling up the steps and on thanking her very much for her kindness, we were told by her that she wasn't opening it for us...her laundry order had arrived! A very run down hotel that looks in need of attention. (From the outside paintwork and this follows through parts and floors of the hotel- our bathroom was 70's style green with broken fitments and a grotty dirty shower). The smell of sewage at times was terrible throughout the hotel.
