Good old-fashioned hospitality, idiosyncratic house full of character. Good breakfast with locally-sourced produce. Room got warm in afternoon/evening sun, so had to open window, which meant traffic noise, as room at front. Fortunately, there wasn't too much traffic overnight.

A very cosy nice bed and breakfast with a very homely feel about it. Great breakfast menu, lots of choice and local and organic produce.loved the Free wifi And DVD library.this place appears to have a lot of regular guests and its easy to see why. I would recommend it to anyone. The landlady is helpful, efficient and very friendly. She can not do enough for you. This place is within walking distance of cheddar gorge and is close to the mendip hills. The only thing I did not like was having to leave, I could have stayed much longer.

Anne (the manager) is a gem of a lady. We felt like family - in the nicest way. The house has a lot of character and we'd return. Leaving!

The room was excellent and the owner was fantastically friendly. I have had far worse service in hotels twice the price.

Located in the town. The lady owner, was talkative and friendly, perhaps a little OTT though. The room was very cold and draughty, and certainly not worth £75 a night. The dining room was cluttered and needed a good clean and general sprucing up (it deterred us from eating in there) The hotel doesn't really seem like a hotel, more like your staying in someone's spare room.

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast right in the heart of the village of Cheddar. You could not have asked for a warmer welcome. I stayed in a double room which had all that you required, the bed was extremely comfortable, with great, linen, duvet and pillows. The room had a great TV with DVD player with a choice of fillms on the landing for loan. the bathroom was not ensuite just on the landing never had to wait and it was always clean. Breakfast was good and promptly served. Highly recomend a stay here, especially given the great value for money. The owner obviously cares and it shows. I did not know that they offered meals in the evening, wouldhave like to have known before I arrived then I would not have had a late lunch.

I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the owner. The facilities which where were provided fitted my requirements. The car parking facilities could do with some with some re-design in that it is not the easiest to exit from it! The biggest disadvantage was the necessity of sharing of both the bathroom and the shower facilities as our bedroom was not en-suit. However, the occupancy was such that access to the shower was only hindered on one occasion. The toilet seats required to be secured in two of the these facilities which I used.
