No breakfast as requested and confirmed for 7:30, did not arrive in time for us to leave at 8:30. TV not useful to small. Staff dismissive when asking about breakfast when it had not arrived. Very poor value.
Staff were very friendly
Hallways were very worn looking
parking, kitchen facilities, staff. Room very spacious. Bathroom also good
breakfast not great but I don't really like cooked breakfasts - was not aware of any alternative. Some fruit would have been nice.
Staff were polite.
Poor breakfast, 1rasher,1 hash brown, 1 egg 1 sausage and baked beans but all poor quality. Blood spot on quilt cover.
Noise from road Breakfast very poor Hotel flood lights outside window. Its a long way from Oxford evn with bus service which is good
very pleasant reception from a helpful young lady who answered all our questions precisely. Decor impeccable throughout. Room spacious and comfortable.
All the free refreshments.
Kitchen facility Spacious Good night's sleep
Cooked breakfast only OK
Location, good size, bright room
Bit old fashioned, dusty. Breakfast not worth having, arrived cold. Not worth the money.
Everything ! This hotel has got it all right ! The breakfast delivery was brilliant as was the high level of kitchen and bedroom equipment!
Well equiped room both for sleeping & making tea, snacks etc
over long shower curtain which had to be used inside the bath & became wet & clammy & wrapped around me whilst showering . Most unpleasant to use!
Friendly staff, good location & reasonable value
Very good size of room for 3 persons, little nice kitchenette working very well, extra table and 3 chairs for having dinner and breakfast in the room
Building is a bit oldish (but only a bit !), at least 2 miles walk to the city centre, nearest shopping facilities are in outside direction (approx. 5 min by car)
Overpriced and very poor and worn B&B, it's not a hotel as advertised. I queued behind complaining lodgers, uncomfortable and stained beds, dirty rooms etc.
large room, car park, kitchenette, location/handy for city centre.
Cooked breakfast- no choice and bland.
We greatly appreciated the very friendly and accommodating staff for all our requests, particularly late check in and late check out.
Fantastic staff - nothing is too much trouble Good location Great sized rooms Kitchenette in the room TV in the room Lots of storage Large, comfortable bed Large bathroom Very quiet location and building Fan and Heater included in the room so you have more control over temperature
Parking limited unless you park on the road Bathroom could be modernised slightly
Loved that the Marlborough was so close to A40 so easy on-off to continue on with our trip. Also liked on-site parking. Bus stop to town center less than half a block away...take #6 only 5-10 minute ride, leaves regularly. About 8 block walk to really nice restaurant...Portobello. Would highly recommend.
Forgot to serve us breakfast in morning due to new chef?!
I went with my friend and the kids and we really enjoied our stay in the hotel. If I will travil to Oxford again I will saty there for sure
Nice and spacious room, very nice staff, very clean, nice bed/matteras.
Breakfast could have been better cooked.
No fruit with breakfast.
Position Comfort Facilities
Larger rooms and lovely receptionist/ manager.
Front rooms a little noisy and beds a little hard.
Nice, very large room with sitting area and a little kitchenette (and instant hot chocolate - greatly appreciated!). Staff very friendly and helpful. Stable and reliable internet (WiFi) connection.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The hotel is located half an hour's walk from Oxford city centre (but in the nice Summertown area and of course there are buses).
