Score from 489 reviews Very good
Very good size of room for 3 persons, little nice kitchenette working very well, extra table and 3 chairs for having dinner and breakfast in the room
Building is a bit oldish (but only a bit !), at least 2 miles walk to the city centre, nearest shopping facilities are in outside direction (approx. 5 min by car)
large room, car park, kitchenette, location/handy for city centre.
Cooked breakfast- no choice and bland.
We greatly appreciated the very friendly and accommodating staff for all our requests, particularly late check in and late check out.
Fantastic staff - nothing is too much trouble Good location Great sized rooms Kitchenette in the room TV in the room Lots of storage Large, comfortable bed Large bathroom Very quiet location and building Fan and Heater included in the room so you have more control over temperature
Parking limited unless you park on the road Bathroom could be modernised slightly
I went with my friend and the kids and we really enjoied our stay in the hotel. If I will travil to Oxford again I will saty there for sure
Nice and spacious room, very nice staff, very clean, nice bed/matteras.
Breakfast could have been better cooked.
No fruit with breakfast.
Position Comfort Facilities
Larger rooms and lovely receptionist/ manager.
Front rooms a little noisy and beds a little hard.
Nice, very large room with sitting area and a little kitchenette (and instant hot chocolate - greatly appreciated!). Staff very friendly and helpful. Stable and reliable internet (WiFi) connection.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. The hotel is located half an hour's walk from Oxford city centre (but in the nice Summertown area and of course there are buses).
On-site car park Supplies in the room - coffee, juice etc. Cooked breakfast served in the room. Ease of check-in - very friendly and helpful at reception desk.
Noisy plumbing - could hear other guests showering. Light shining into room around the door at night time - had to put a bed cover on the floor to block light out.
The room was very clean and well presented. Breakfast was really good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The room was wonderful, felt luxurious and comfortable. Good facilities, staff were friendly and helpful.
Thought it was a little over-priced.
It's nothing special but then neither is the price. For a short stay with a comfortable bed it was fine.
It was pretty tough getting a large suitcase up two flights of stairs
very friendly welcome!
The room was very noisy!
Quiet and spacious.
Location and limited desk hours. We arrived in the morning but our room wasn't ready and we had a full day of activities planned, we had to hurry back before the desk closed to pick up our key. Normally it closed at 8pm but the desk attendent stayed a little later after we called to tell her we were running late.
Staff could not be more helpful. The room was a good size and beds were comfortable.
The bathroom let the hotel down. The bath was slippery to stand in, and was dangerous as there was no grab rails or bath mat. The water temperature was good but the flow rate was poor.
Requested staff to order a taxi to attend a funeral taxi was given wrong address by staff we were late for mass? The next day staff ordered a taxi to take us to bus station in the morning for our bus connection to airport no taxi arrived and when I contacted taxi company no taxi was ordered and we our missed bus .
Nice walk to the city center--about 1.5 mile. Keys allowed independent access to house and room (up one flight of stairs) while maintaining security. Several pubs nearby for meals. Good breakfast in house. Room spacious with table, small but clean, modern bathroom.
Parking on site limited to 5 cars. As the 6th, we needed to park down the side street. Window helpful but would have like a fan for greater comfort in unusually warm weather.
1) Location is good 2) The triple room we stayed in was good size with mini kitchen and so very handy for family with children 3) Price was fair for the time of the year (July 14) 4) Mini kitchen is well stocked with tea, coffee, cereals for breakfast, and minifridge has fresh milk, butter, jam, juice pouches, etc. which are all complimentary.
1)You can hear noises from other rooms at night so if you are a light sleeper you will have problem 2)We ordered vegetarian breakfast for two people so they did serve us that on the first day but the next day they served full English breakfast with meat.
nice Tripleroom, gentle Service and friendly welcome, quiet Location, near to Bus stop
City only by bus, rather small bathroom
They were very obliging. We were able to arrive early and leave our car on site while looking around Oxford. Similarly, after we checked out, we were able to leave our car on site while looking around Oxford some more.
Staff were nice and available till late in the evening and early in the morning
Bedding and mattresses in very poor condition and not clean. Once checked in 3 bedding covers out of (3 beds) had blood colour stains on them. Asked for replacements, they gave us few fresh sheets but 2 of these also had similar stains on them. Mattresses also very old and not comfy at all. Toilet flush also not working properly. All in all really regret booking our only family trip night in Oxford with them. They should certainly either refresh their facilities or update their marketing ad to mention the status and take the price considerably low.
Good location and very friendly and helpful staff
Bathroom needs an update, especially the shower
