Location and friendly staff. Reception manned 24hrs. Good service when needed. Room very small. Broken sink and smelled a bit musty when we first arrived. Something that was also a little irritating; bed-side lamp/bulb did not work.

Hotel is located a nice place. Breakfast was good and staff behaviour was excellent. The facilities are not that great. Tv in the room don't even show clear pictures. Bathroom had leakage and most of the floor area was covered with water. I am not sure whether we got a fully cleaned bed mats..

Good location (close to the beach and town centre), generous breakfast, friendly staff. Uncomfortable bed (felt like sleeping on tennis balls), noisy (you could hear the neigbours walking upstairs), room generally needs a good clean, outdated decor throughout.

The staff and service was excellent. Good brekfast (apart from the cheapo frozen sausages) Very good proximity to the beach and touristy bits of Shankin.. Quite run down beaten up old rooms where time has stopped in around 1978 ! needs some serious updating ! Our room with its red swirly carpet and matching red/black chipboard furnture had 2 large steps in it, 1 to get into the ensuite and another `inside` the ensuite to get into shower ! bizzarre..

Good location Friendly helpful staff room was clean and fresh however decoration and facilities where rather dated and tired basically the hotel could do with a total update together with putting free wifi and satalite tv instead of having just four channels on a small portable tv fixed to the wall

Only staff and breakfast was good but that's never enough, Horribly small rooms. Creaking floors, stairs and beds. Looked like a dilapidated museum rather than a place to stay.

This was just a one night stay and the hotel was convenient for the beach, cliff walks and local amenities. Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel seemed rather tired and dated and the room was very small.

The only good point to our stay was that the bar was very cheap and breakfast was nice i didnt like the fact that if you was paying by debit card then they charge you 2.5%. Also in my room the shower was rubbish it just dripped down the wall and the bathroom and bedroom floors were sticky and needed to be hoovered better .I dont think this can classify as a hotel itsmore of a B&B

The hotel was in a centra area for exploring the island. The hotel itself provided a good service at a very reasonable price.

Just the location and nothing else. Im sorry I did not like anything about my stay and waited for my stay to get done with. When we entered the room we were welcomed by this terrible stench of something being burnt. We soon realised that the stench stayed in the room and wouldn't go even after ventilation. The room looked so tired and dated and uncomfortable we couldn't use the sofa or the bathroom. There was no latch on the bathroom door and we were in twin sharing. The entire room/ hotel looked gloomy tired and smelly. The bed looked old and tired as well. We wasted our money. We have stayed in better hotels in better locations for half the price!

Staff were fantastic - very helpful and great customer service skills. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast options were varied and tasty. Located close to the high street of Shanklin with a supermarket, pharmacy, atm and shops in close proximity. Also a few minutes from the cliffside walks along the beach. The only negative was the fact that we could hear the guest in the room next door snoring so the walls aren't overly thick.

The hotel manager was very helpful and let us leave our luggage by the reception area before check in time. The breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel is excellent, very near the town and the clifftop lift to the beach. It was fine for the price we paid as it was quite cheap compared to the others. On the minus side, the carpet in the room looked quite old, and the toilet was having great problems coping, although we did not put toilet paper down it as requested.

Warm welcome by the reception staff, ample space in the room for a family, close vicinity to a beautiful shore with a view of the Needle point to the far left, a lift access to the beach from the cliff and back, our stay at the hotel was enjoyable. The bed spreads could do with some change- they look slightly dated, but cleanliness is not an issue at all.
