I stayed here under the impression that I would be getting a balcony with my penthouse suite. When I arrived there was no balcony and they could not give me a room with one when I complained and actually said that I should never have been assured that I could have a room with a balcony. Being a smoker this was of a high inconvenience to me. Nothing was offered to me in place.ie later checkout for free etc. not impressed. However could not fault the hotel in every other aspect. Penthouse suite view was amazing!!! |

The apartment was lovely and modern and new. The hot water was not hot enough for a bath or shower. Rooms were very hot and staff were not always on Reception so when we arrived the intercom at door was not working and took ten minutes before we could get in |

Lovely, clean, well equipped apartment. Friendly concierge. Close to Aldgate East tube station. A few minutes walk to liverpool street station for airport connection. A few minutes walk to spittlefields and brick lane markets and south to tower bridge and the tower of London. In short; A good place in a good location. We will be staying here again. a little bit pricey.... but where in London isn't? |

washing machine was broken and I have told the hotel staff and she couldnt do any thing about it. The machine stopped with water was in it and I couldnt wear the clothes on new years eve.I was happy to pay the amount of money but I was very upset about my clothes. |

spacious room, new design, well equipped kitchen, free internet, good security features, reception staff helpful rooms were a little dusty, very basic toiletries and no refils during our 4night stay, kitchen also sparce of simple items, salt and pepper, washing up liquid, again only one refil per stay and we had to ask for these incl toilet paper, this should be free if you're paying 170+ / night |

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen area was practicle and more than expected. Nice with two bathrooms,soaps and plenty of towels, we were 4 adults. The heating was good and we could controll it. Windows to open for "fresh air", and the balcony for a smoke. Staff were polite and helpfull. Close to tube station and Brick Lane/Spitafields +++ Great restaurant at Whitechapel Gallery, 200m. Saturday (?) evening we could not get hot water in the bathtub, but there was hot water in the other bathoom...? Tho a short walk to Tescos, welcome pack could have been better, (dishcloth/liquid soap,real coffee..) Maybe an offer of morning papers, especially on the weekend/sunday? |

The apartment we had was of very high quality, clean and quiet. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay and we would definitely stay there again. Tesco nearby for groceries. Tube station 5 mins walk. The directions on the website were not sufficient enough to find the apartments from the Aldgate East tube station easily and when we phoned conceirge for assistance they were unable to help. Also maid service is only once a week so no clean towels everyday. |

Very good apartment - very clean - every thing was okay. When I get the possibility I wil stay there again with my family. It is very easy to reach the two underground stations Aldgate East or Aldgate. It would be nice with heat in the flor in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. But frankly - it is a luxury problem. |

Location was very handy for centre of london - as expected Reception staff very distracted - more bothered about talking to friends when we checked in. No toiletries at all in the apartment - requested from reception and told they didnt have any in stock including toliet roll!!! |

Lovely apartments, clean and with good facilities. Apartments themselves quiet and private. Not in a great area, very rundown. Also quite far from the centre of town. Regular sound of sirens in the district. |

I have been one night in Marlin Apartments - Aldgate in late November because all Hotels near the City were booked. I was on a business trip with appointments in the City and did not expect much. I was pleasantly surprised by the place athought i could not make much use of some of the facilities - large kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine (tea and instant coffee provided). The interior was comfy and tasteful and the the place is brand new and very clean. If i had a longer stay i would always prefer this over any hotel, especially since it is close to the places i need to go to in London and the Aldgate East Tube station is close. The area (Commercial Road) is a bit bland but who cares? Do not expect breakfast, though. |

High quality apartment. Quiet definitely NOT a rowdy place. Very welcoming and eefficient staff. Finding it! Street directions need to be tweaked to include a small street map, especially as Commerical Road is very near to Commerical Street ! A very basic continental breakfast could also be left for small charge? |

Nice to have more than just a hotel room to stay in while away from my family although in all practical terms this was purely used for somewhere to sleep after a night out with clients so none of the home comforts were used. |
