Atmosphere, Eoom quality, room service, everything...
The main bar area was too small and it was chilly due to the proximity of the main entrance door.
Staff were pleasant location fantastic breakfast very good
Seemed to have gone up and down to many stairs and corridors with heavy bags before we got to room ! 'porter service '.
Long walk from car park to reception. Very long walk from reception to room. Long walk from room to restaurant to be told it smelled of paint and recommended I use the snack bar by the pool, which smelled of chlorine instead. Limited menu, didn't have my 1st choice. Very overpriced considering uncomfortable and unwelcoming location.
The hotel was beautiful
The staff were not attentive at dinner
Beautiful setting, very helpful staff, great breakfast
Booking.com did not communicate specifics of room request - one double and one bedroom with single beds requested, two doubles booked. Hotel did their best by making up a bed settee. However, this is not what was requested!
Grounds where beautiful. Staff couldn't help you enough! Spa was lovely, swimming fab. Breakfast perfect!!
They charge you £6 an hour for wifi?? We are in the 21st century and paying a good amount of money for the hotel room then paying extra for wifi was a rip off! Needs changing!!!
Everything! The hotel is beautiful. The staff very helpful The grounds are splendid The food lovely.
The location and all the activities you can do
We asked for a double bed, but was given 2 double beds instead. Not ideal for a couple
The breakfast was amazing. The room was very clean and big.
Went on a busy day - the pool had a lot of children in so didn't get to experience the facilities fully.
Surroundings, parking, staff, room, view
Thinly staffed in the off season. Room service was largely unresponsive - likely due to the thin off-season staffing.
two double beds in room, lots of choice at breakfast, eggs cooked to order.
not being able to eat in restaurant, as full.
Excellent hotel, facilities and staff 9/10. In particular the receptionist and the waitresses who were friendly and very helpful.
The food in the restaurant was below average (the main priory restaurant). It was £21 for sirloin steak and chips which was below the standard of weatherspoons. The chips tasted like they had been cooked in 3 month old oil. Not impressed at all.
slightly in need of update and long corridors
A beautiful hotel in picturesque surroundings
Facilities were good. Liked the long time given for breakfast. My family enjoyed the chats and lovely food. Location and grounds were lovely.
Whilst it is a lovely setting for Weddings, the hotel tries to cram too many in. Bar was quite full at times with no places left for hotel guests. I saw that there was a conference room and if this is not used at weekends, may I suggest that this room is used for guests, giving them a quieter space for enjoying a drink. A member of staff could be assigned to this room to take and deliver orders. The bar will be then free for the Wedding party guests. Hope this helps.
I thought the leisure facilities were fantastic my husband and I took full advantage of the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and pool which was available until 11pm nothing was too much for the staff, room service arrived in good time, choice of food was fabulous - catered to all tastes
I didn't realise that there was an incidentals charge I have stayed at hotels where there was not a charge however I fully understood why as there were dressing gowns and slippers available also food and drinks can be charged to the room so it makes sense from a buisness perspective
Breakfast - cooked to order omelette was heaven on a plate -really wonderful
Bath with mixer tap - shower head unusable by anyone over three feet tall - not acceptable at this price level. Double bed against the wall only suitable for single occupancy (story of my life :))
History of hotel - a priory and set in large beautiful grounds. Good standard of room and bed. Very good dinner in the dining room and tasty breakfast.
I wish I could have stayed longer. Will have to bring my wife back
Restaurant, staff, grounds and facilities are fantastic
Room clean and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Stayed overnight after a wedding reception so didn't use all facilities available. Staff were polite and helpful at all times.
A pet sematary.
A miserable man (staff) in the priory restaurant.
Quality of staff - responsive, warm and efficient, reception and breakfast especially. Quality of food good, excellent choice at breakfast. Superb setting - our room overlooked the 18th hole - superb! Spa treatments very good. Quality of room - very comfortable.
-Gym and swimming pool were so lovely and of a high standard. -Lovely selection of breakfast items -Very good food portions, we couldn't finish our dinners they were so big. -Lovely feel to the hotel.
-Bedrooms were a little old fashioned but were very cosy -Breakfast was disorganised and rushed, despite the lack of guests. -Fruit flies covering the bar ceiling eek.
