We stayed over the Highland Show weekend, and we decided it would be easier to use taxi's. The Consierge's were all very quick to book a taxi for us and always came and got us from the hotel lobby when it arrived. Breakfast was very busy, understandibly, as it is such a popular and busy hotel, but there was so much to choose from an the buffet. My only problem was that we did not have enough time to go and use the pool. Hopefully we will next time as we will definatly be back. Thanks so much again for a very pleasent stay.

Had a very nice one night stay at this lovely hotel with my grown up family. We didn't have much time to enjoy the leisure/golf part of the hotel,so can't comment on that side The staff were very helpful. Meals are a little overpriced and would like more choice on the menu for the main dining room.

Dalmahoy is a wonderful hotel we have stayed before its warm friendly and relaxing. If I had to say anything it would be that I found drinks a little expensive.

Restaurant area stifling hot and felt ill during my meal due to the heat as it was suffocating and experienced the same at breakfast making it very uncomfortable ti breath let alone enjoy the lovely food. Drinks were extremely expensive, don't mind paying hotel prices at all but this seemed higher than any other establishment I've visited.

I like how the staff were very friendly and treated us with much respect. They were very helpful. I also like how the Dalmahoy is away from the city and can be a quiet gateaway.

Peaceful, just what we decided at the last min before hogmany this year Twice I went round to the leisure facilities and the pool wasnt open, for me it wasnt a major problem as I still used the sauna ,steamroom but there was a few elderly people that I spoke to that werent happy. I feel that was understandable.

The staff are great: always greeting you with a warm welcome. The main castle rooms are a bit dated and tired. Best avoided in winter due to rubbish windows hence cold room. Many only have over-bath showers; less than ideal. I'm not a golf player and only use the hotel for short business trips. It's ok, but not as good as some of the down- town Edinburgh hotels.

As a Marriott Hotel it has a consistent quality and cleanliness. The swimming pool was a very nice extra for a swim before breakfast. The food tasted good but is over-priced.

Had a lovely weekend. Staff were courteous and friendly. Dinner and Breakfast were superb. Had a beauty treatment while there and the therapist was fantastic. Leisure facilities are a bit dated and need upgraded for a 4 star hotel

Nice clean room. Good facilities. Breakfast and dinner very good. Helpful friendly staff. We were in a room with an adjoining door which meant sound proofing was not good. Fortunately this wasn't a problem during our short stay.

The staff were very professional at their job, and dealt with customers with a standard of excellence, but with also a personal touch. The breakfast layout was excellent and personal touch of flipped eggs and pancakes was great - I never tasted pancakes so nice before!! I commend all the staff for their standard of excellence at this hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. God Bless you all. The only thing that I did not like was the price of evening dinner menu - quite expenses especially extra charge for veg, potoatos etc. - should be included in price. - Had soup a few times - excellent.

Really pretty. 14' from the airport. Breakfast. Price of the room was very nice, but not the rest of the services. Wi-fi not included: please, to all managers, it should always be included.

A lovely place to relax and unwind, however still within close proximity of the city to enjoy city life too. More costly than usual, presumably down to the festival.

The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, the dalmahoy is stunningly beautiful, the beds sumptuously comfortable, the massages wonderfully relaxing - in other words perfection. It was very expensive so a once in a lifetime treat, oh to win the lottery! The price. Having said that Edinburgh is ridiculously overpriced, so in comparison it seemed reasonable, £170 for one night is still way beyond most people's budget.

The room was a good standard with a good bathroom, 4* Arrived around 7.30pm were advised the restaurant 'would probably be full' went to the country club for our evening meal. Very dissapointing menu choice and overpriced. Buffet Breakfast cooked food of poor quality.

The room was very comfortable and location very peaceful. Lovely feel all round. The only thing I was disappointed in was the meals - I had your curry one night with a nan which looked and tasted like it had been bought out of a supermarket.

“A truly fantastic experience we were very well looked after and attention to detail was very good. The food was excellent and that is a great compliment coming from a couple who dine out very regulary and expect a very high quality. The room was fantastic with loads of space to move around. Most hotels have only a limited space around the bed to move around but this was certainly not the case in this hotel. During our stay there was 2 wedding receptions in the hotel, but it certainly did not affect the nice quiet atmosphere we enjoyed. The spa and leisure facilities were of very high quality as well. A truly great and relaxing experience.” Alexander, By Forfar |
