The staff was outstanding, so attentive to all our needs and more.
Spa and afternoon tea was fully booked so we were unable to access these facilities.
The Hotel and surroundings. The Pool was fantastic. Staff really attentive and helpful
No free Wi-fi
The first class service from staff and the location
1) Great facilities, beautiful setting 2) Very friendly and helpful staff 3) Delicious food in the restaurant. 4) Prestige room was nicely decorated.
1) No vegetables (fruit yes) for breakfast 2) No free internet, had to fight to waive the cost of wifi for Prestige room (which they advertise...). 3) You can hear the distant sound of car traffic of nearby main road. Double glazed windows could help solve this...
All the staffs were extremely friendly and service minded. Nothing was too much trouble. Food and room service was of a good standard. Ideal place to stay for those looking for some peace and quiet with plenty of hidden garden space.
the look of the cocktail bar was very impressive with the open fire- just no one there other than a very over-attentive waiter. Bath filled really quickly and super hot water so this was wonderful!
Staff were very unhelpful and only hotel policy driven, totally lost sight of the end customer! Bedroom was really large but with the smallest, oldest bed ever! Not even a head board so the pillows slid off! No soundproofing So zero chance of getting any sleep - dreadful!
I was charged twice for my room, upon checkout I informed reception of this, they promised to sort this out. I provided my number and asked if someone can call me to confirm I've been refunded. 5 days later no refund and no call. We loved your hotel, and wanted to return, this has ruined our experience! And I'm £275 down!
Very helpful friendly staff, especially Maria the duty manager. It's also a very beautiful building. The Prestige room was clean and attractive with plenty of space.
We came back because we'd been before and experienced the excellent Zodiac restaurant, only to find they'd closed it indefinitely. No one bothered to inform me of this decision despite having over two months to do so. We had to eat In the Grill which is overpriced and nothing special. The drinks are also very over priced and the bar service isn't particularly great either. We booked a prestige room, which looked great but awoke freezing in the night as it was so cold. There was no extra blanket or heater in the room so we slept in our robes. It turned out two if the windows did not close properly and a pane of glass was broken...in a prestige room? The car park was covered in litter and it was even in the trees. We canceled our second nights stay and were refunded 25% on the room rate but still had a bill of over £500 for a freezing cold room, and a mediocre restaurant. Will never return here.
I was allocated a room in which the pillows and bed sheets stank of stale smoke!
Really enjoyable visit here. A beautiful setting. Its worth paying the extra money to be in the main part of the hotel.
Beautiful setting and a very impressive building.the service was good and the staff friendly .bedroom large and very comfortable
Poor wifi with a fee! Easy to get "lost" as the hotel is a rambling building.Breakfast very ordinary for a four star hotel
Good facilities in and around the swimming pool. Lovely grounds
Quality and of bathroom fixtures and fittings looking dated now. The size of it was also rather small. Room window was also tiny in proportion to the room size, so made it feel very enclosed.
No spa availability and wet area was like a children's public pool . Checked in after 4 didn't stay and left at 10.30
The swimming pool was excellent and overall the hotel is good value
No free WiFi
The facility is awesome and the staff are excellent
Perfect stay, so relaxing and comfortable. Staff amazing. Room service food lovely.
location size of both bed room and the bathroom, facilities of the hotel Manor house it self Some of the old interiors of public areas
Bathroom taps (full of lime scale) Bedroom interior Red head board Upholstery on the chairs, they were too gloomy Curtains Food
What can I say apart from we loved it all, from the minute we arrived to the second we had to leave.
Having to go home.
the ease of booking on line leading to a speedy check in.
I booked a smoking room but they don't exist although the option is on the booking form, very very misleading and obviously disappointing..
The spacious sitting lounge at the front, the leisure facilities, the comforts of the room and bed, the snooker room was a really nice surprise, the breakfast. The setting and location. This would be one of my favourite hotels and I would definitely stay again
The bar area was o.k. but I think doesn't do the place justice for how nice everywhere else is. I think from memory that the bathroom walls at the top needed touch up maintenance to keep the standard of the room high but still was nice
Fantastic facilities, beautiful surroundings, very good food, large and comfortable rooms. Spa and Gym facilities stay open till late giving you the opportunity to make the most of your stay. Highly recommended this hotel, this was our second stay and we shall return again.
The original part of the building is excellent.
The dining room was not open. The Oak Grill is not a particularly pleasant environment. Would return if they had a proper dining area available.
