Jess (I think was the young lady's name) - is their God Send.. and clearly listens to customers and goes out of her way to sort any problems out.. Well done! Signage of the hotel is set back from the main road, and not illuminated at night - so very difficult to find. The reception staff can't take a pre-authorisation from a debit card - apparently this is company policy... although other marriots that i have used do! The Bedroom skirting boards needs cleaning, dust present, and they need to use the nozzle on the hoover between the skirting and carpet. No water provided in the room, not required but would be a nice touch.. No guest feedback card in the room either. The bins in the room, the liners aren't placed in the bin,. just left for the guest to do it.. Very surprising standards given Marriotts reputation..

Staff were polite and helpful When we checked in the reservation was not under my surname On going to our room a tray with wine glasses and plates was left outside the room from previous guests which my partner tripped over. The leisure facilities were like a creche with children shouting and screaming. Several very young children were in the Jacuzzi even though notices said no under 8s. One little girl was swimming up and down the Jacuzzi. Numerous lockers in the changing rooms did not work The food in the restaurant was average and very over priced

Easy to find, situation good for accessing local area. Staff friendly Only fault is that the fire alarms went off early hours and not one member of staff was available to to roll call and check that all guests had evacuated hotel. Guests were left wandering around outside in the dark - told by duty manager we could go back in hotel but this was only the group at the front of the hotel. No one bothered with other guests or doing a roll call. This gave us cause for concern - had this have been a genuine fire then there seemed to be no structure in checking...... Having said this our stay was excellent :)

We booked a romantic birthday break for ourselves and were not disappointed in any way. Our weekend lived up to both our expectations. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful at all times. The only downside that we found was the price of internet connections

Excellent in all respects, from the first contact via internet I felt we were in good hands. We would have liked to have a swim but I missed the availablity of a pool - next time! A more convenient un loading bay near the entrance would be better than using the car park when carryin luggage

Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Good facilities. Value for money. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Lovely grounds. Convenient to visit family. Choice of food at breakfast was great, but consider using locally scourced fresh-baked bread, not sliced factory stuff for the toast.

I thought that the gym was excellent and that the staff supporting the gym were helpful. The breakfast was good and the bar menu was plentiful. I liked the idea that guests could join in activities such as Zumba, body pump and other fitness sessions. I felt the staff in the bar areas were slow. It is hard to relax in a 'spa' when children are jumping in the pool and spa.

It was a beautiful location for a super wedding - the stay at the hotel made the wedding even more special. We originally booked a twin room which later had to be changed to single occupancy. I was very disappointed to find that the price remained the same even though there was only one guest and one breakfast!

I found the hotel was just in the right place for visiting a close friend. The breakfast was lovely and could be recomended.Staff on front desk were very plesant. I found the room we were allocated tired and could do with updating. We booked king room with sofa bed but got one large bed!!There were areas where the cleaner had missed dusting. The tea and coffee in room could have done with being replenished while we were out.

Excellent 20m pool. Comfortable room. The main restaurant was fully booked but a recommendation from a local for an Italian restaurant in Shipley saved the day.

Poor view (laundry area). Noise! Wedding receptions on Friday and Saturday. Music very loud. We probably had the worst room in the hotel.

Lovely cosy room The fact that the room brochure told me breakfast on Thursday was until 11am but when I tried to eat breakfast at 1050am I was told it ended at 1030. a documentation error. Not great! They did offer to send something to my room and did not charge for it which was ok but breakfast would have been better!

Staff were excellent Slow in dining room on Saturday night. Caused by a large group in before us - extra kitchen staff should have been put on so as not to slow things down for residents.

Hollins Hall lives up to the reputation and high standard that I have come to expect from Marriott hotels. It's only a short drive from Leeds Bradford airport and has a real quality feel to the place. The facilities are of a high standard and the views are beautiful. Actually, the bed, sheets and duvet are worth the stay alone. It's a great stress free option if you need to stay in the area.
