Good accomodation, good food, pleasant staff, wonderful location. A great place for a wedding.
Pillows not the most comfortable but thats just being picky
Cost of in room WiFi
Attractive Building and grounds
Adequate but the Full English Breakfast was a bit bland and ordinary - at a hotel I like to also have the added items that I wouldn't normally do at home like fried tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, black pudding.
Thought the offer in the Zest restaurant was poor
Nice relaxing breakfast, not rushed even when close to the finishing time
The breakfast was excellent and the room was very adequate.
The evening meal in the brasserie was of a poor standard and very disappointing. The staff were however apologetic and we were not charged fo the food.
The communal areas are lovely when the fires are lit. Staff are attentive and helpful. The breakfast is amazing. The pool facilities are nice - but a little hard to find from inside the hotel. The room was perfectly acceptable - nothing special.
With our rate we were what felt like 'relegated' to the annex, which was a bit like staying in a portacabin and did not live up to the rest of the hotel's surroundings. We had dinner in the Morgan restaurant. The food while well presented, was not very good and ordinary. Not worth the money. Breakfast is better. The bar was a lacklustre area with little choice in drinks - again not matching up to surroundings. The decision to include free wifi in communal areas but not bedrooms is strange.
Good welcome at reception Young man on Desmond took the trouble to talk us through a local walk which we did the next day. Food was freshly prepared using lots of fruit and veg which we liked
Nothing to dislike
When the staff heard it was my girlfriend's birthday they left a card and chocolates on the bed (told it would have been wine but we're expecting a baby). Lovely gesture.
No-one made it clear there was free wi-fi in the shared areas (bars etc).
Excellent place to stay and travel the area.
Location and layout of hotel. Breakfast was really good also a relaxing atmosphere Check in fast and efficient staff friendly Spa facial was good and therapist very good
When we booked our evening meal nobody told us it was in the cafe zest that was poor we should have been informed No teabags in room rang reception but none arrived minor I know but I like a cuppa so walked down to reception after an hour or so. Toilet took ages to fill and shower weak quiet old I imagine.
Food, location, room comfort
Wasn't mentioned on booking.com that the pool was out of action
Enjoyed the traditional restaurant the style was charming. The food was also very good
nice and friendly staff
cleanliness of the room thick with dust. . Needs updating or more attention to detail when cleaning !
Location - Just off M48 and was meeting someone the otherside of the river the next day Ambiance - Gave an aura of grandeur Comfort - modern rooms, spacious and airy Price - Paid under £100 for the room Free WIFI - better in the hotel itself than the rooms Pool - A good size but not huge Friendly Staff
Signage for Car Parks could have been much better.
Location, lovely building, rooms well appointed.
missing reservation on arrival - receptionist just stared at the booking reference we gave..we were handed to 3 different people prior to being told they would give us a room - I had prepaid through Booking.com so was not too impressed. at 5.30p.m. was told we could not have a drink from the bar because less than 40 guests booked in!! Sunday staff were very unwelcoming...Monday totally different attitude and the staff then were very pleasant.
We just had a quick overnight stay and enjoyed it very much.
We couldn't stay long enough to play golf.
The cost of the room was lower through Booking.com than going direct, plus on arrival we were upgarded to a suite with lakeside view and private paking outside the room - superb result!
Shame we couldn't stop longer
The Hotel is in a great setting with good facilities. The bed was very large & very comfortable with great quality linen.
The room itself was very dated & in need of decoration, the paint work around the windows was mouldy. The soft furnishings were very shabby as in the curtains. The net curtains were grubby. There were cobwebs around the ceiling and when in bed were very hard to miss. The bathroom was very dated more 1980's with a shower over the bath with very poor water pressure. The toilet bowl was cracked with a very cheap toilet seat. Not what we expected from a marriott hotel.
Our stay at St Pierre 12th December 2014 Every thing, very warm welcome, surprise added extra`s such as swans and dogs made out of white towels, fruit platter and chocolates, simply wonderful. A massive thank you to all the staff making our stay at St Pierre very enjoyable. A special thank you to Rita Faller (chef) for her personal touch, organisation and professionalism.
Friendly helpful staff (booked our dinner reservation for us) Lovely pool/ and fitness centre Beautiful grounds Plentiful breakfast Ambience Welcoming For once exactly how I expected it to be from the description
That we couldn't stay longer!
Bedroom excellent staff helpful food excellent
Comfy bed, excellent service and pleasant and helpful staff and beautiful setting.
Room could of been cleaner and only 1 coffee available in the room as they hadn't had a delivery for 3days.
Lovely buildings in lovely location
Very poor dinner menu, more suited to a local pub than a 4 * hotel
