The Morgan's restaurant is beautiful as is the spa facilities. I have visited several times previously and will do so again the staff are absolutely brilliant and make you feel very special and relaxed.
Nothing everything was excellent .
Friendliness of staff Cleanliness of room Quality of food
Bar closed fairly early Pool full of kids
Food was lovely staff was friendly and room was lovely to.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and we felt very comfortable in all areas of the hotel. The waiter in the bar of whom served our evening meal was very polite and nothing was too much trouble, excellent service. Breakfast was fantastic, choice was amazing.
I dont like to moan, but I noticed dust in our room, I believe that a little more time may be needed on turn around of the rooms, but they were very comfortable.
Food in restaurant was over priced and poop quality
Excellent service Breakfast excellent
Poor dinner menu and food very dissapointing
The setting of this hotel is beautiful and the long drive up to it is quite impressive. I would imagine a golfer's dream if you are into golf. The room was very comfortable and food excellent (although we only had breakfast). I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
There isn't anything negative I can say.
Very nice location, friendly helpful staff, very nice pool, sauna, steam room etc. A hassle free and relaxing stay
The food in Zest restaurant. After a long drive and both my wife and myself wanting to relax we made the mistake of eating in Zest. The meal was so bad it was nearly funny, we ordered thehummus with flatbread and vegetables, the hummus and flatbread were fine, the vegetables consisted of 3 batons of dry flavourless carrot and 1 tiny limp gem lettuce leaf? For main courses my wife had a pizza, which was no better than a supermarkets own brand pizza, very thick dry base, as if they had been brought in frozen, tiny amount of tomato sauce, the meat topping was salty and hard to find, the cheese was a unmelted pile in the centre. I had the lamb mini slider burgers?, which were supposed to be 3 different flavours, but they all tasted the same, were over cooked, served on hard, stale rolls which would have been 100% better if they had been toasted and a little mayonnaise spread on them! the 'jenga' chips were a mis shaped stack of greasy chips without been crisp in any way, and the coleslaw they served was sogey and sour, Due to the fact we had both had a drink we were unable to drive anywhere else to eat, so we picked at it as best we could, we decided not to waste money and have desserts, and we didn't eat there again during our 3 day stay.
The staff were extremely helpful. The location was excellent very beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Breakfast selection superb.
Small details really, cleanliness could have been improved, cutlery and crockery were stained. Pillows too soft, would have been nice to have a choice. The window in bedroom did not open enough room hot, although was provided with a fan. Lack of free wifi within the hotel rooms, if you required Internet access this came at an extra cost
Location, breakfast service and choice, facilities available.
The breakfast room was very busy and somewhat hot and stuffy.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, particularly in Zest bar. The bed was a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was good too. Grounds were beautifully maintained. Maybe the main hotel has better rooms with more suitable soundproofing.
Arrived, decided to upgrade as last night of celebrations for my birthday, was an extra twenty pounds, seemed no problem. Shame as upgrade was not worth it. Unfortunately we were placed in a courtyard room. It was small, dark with the smallest bathroom I have seen in a long time. We could hear people walking around upstairs and hear them talking. Could have been cleaner too. Unfortunately it seemed like a holiday chalet, not expected from a Marriott hotel! Shame as other Marriotts have not disappointed.
The facilities and the hotel.
Not including breakfast. The food in both restaurants.
Fantastic situation Great leisure facilities Friendly staff Good breakfast
Bed far too soft - only option given was to put a board under the bed - not really good enough as only half covered the base but was an improvement
leisure facilities a bit dated
Except the carpet could have done with bring vacuumed!
Comfy bed Nice setting in golf course View from bedroom window
Staff pretty indifferent No availability in spa despite phoning a week in advance to book Restaurants generally felt a bit tired and grubby
The little church right beside the hotel. The lovely scenery and friendly staff.
Very comfortable does need a few more information boards because the hotel is so large. The restaurant is excellent
Food was Excellent - grounds/staff/ rooms etc - best hotel I have stayed in yet.
Starbucks coffee wasn't as good as you would normally get asking for table water in morgans and getting charged for a bottle - but they were happy to take it off when I said.
swimming pool need a really good clean and the surounding areas
Great facilities and peaceful location
Golfers language in bar. Being a golfer myself I thought the Societies could have been gently reminded by staff on etiquette off the course and in family environment.
superb leisure facilities and wonderful breakfast - such a huge selection on offer and the staff were happy to cook something different if you couldn't find anything you liked.
Pretty much everything.
Toilet flush in room 409 was not very effective. Possibly a blocked drain outside the building.
