Days Hotel Bournemouth  

I have lived in Bournemouth for 40 years, but now live in Spain. My husband and I returned to Bmth for my daughter Sarah's wedding. I had to find a dress which took 3 days which meant the location of the hotel for shopping was faultless, the large T.V in our room meant that my husband could stay in and watch the cricket. The bar was modern and the service was lovely....sadly the weather was awful, my only addition to the hotel would be an indoor pool with spa....oh and the bed in room 302 was to die for, just wish there could have been room on the plane to take it home, we slept like babies and the icing on the cake was the view, totally stunning, thank you Marsham Court Hotel, this is a high rating 3 star hotel, great value for money and by the way... is there anyone out there, that would like to hire me as a hotel critic?

This hotel was recommended by a friend who has stayed there for years. I wanted a room with a excellent view of the sea and I wasn't disappointed. The room had an iron and board and also tea making facilities and good sized flat screen TV. The staff counldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was very good. The location was brilliant and was a short walk to the beach and not far from a good selection of shops and restaurants. The beach was great and even though dogs were allowed, the beach was clean. Also there were several public toilets near the beach which was really handy. I will definately be staying at the hotel again .

Havibg already stayed twice before, we love the location of the hotel, ideal for shopping and a stroll to the beach, walking distance into town. Parking has never been a problem for us either.

If this had been our first trip top the hotel, we would not have booked again! We had asked for a room that didnt overlook the car park, as on our two previous visits we had been given a room that did.... However on reflection this was a bad request to make! We were given room 104, a room at the top of the first flight of stairs, but next to the door to the corridor..... Inevitably this kept us awake most of the night with guests outside our bedroom door until the early hours, doors banging etc. Coupled with the very uncomfortable bed in the room (two singles pushed together and distinct lack of any mattress topper to cover the hard uncomfortable buttons that dug in your back all night!) it meant that what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away left us feeling more than a little tired!!! Luckily for us we know that this is not the normal level of comfort to be expected from the hotel.....

Bar staff had a very poor understanding of English and did not appear to know what they were doing really. This really let the Hotel down we were staying for a wedding and when we left on the Sunday guests were arriving for another wedding which meant the checkout area was chaos!!

Not a lot of seating in the bar at around 9:30pm which could have been relieved by opening the bar to the left of the main entrance. It actually went very quiet by 10 so not too bad. Pity there's no gym
