Nice Hotel Staff very pleasant We were in transit to further up the country and this was convienient for our an overnight stay Choose to have dinner which we enjoyed very much.Large Room with refurbished ensuite. Althought clean the bedroom was a bit tired looking Carpet worn in places and stained Although large I found the bed (matress) uncomfortable. Attention required in the bathroom. taps loose so they swivel and no way of operating the sink plug needed a spoon to lever it out.

Very clean room (we stayed in one of the annexes) and a great breakfast. Better still, the toast was brought to the table, none of the diy toast which is (unfortunately) becoming the norm. Very minor complaints: 1. The TV in the room was a bit small (portable size), 2. The layout of the restaurant entrance was a bit cramped, not helped by an array of potted plants. This creates a bit of "After you, Claude/After you, Cecil" when going back and forth to the breakfast buffet.

Convenient for my business, free wifi, friendly staff and good food. I stayed in the original part of the hotel which although clean and comfortable is due for a refurbishment. The decor is now dated as was the small 14" tv.

The full english breakfast was hot and in plentiful supply. The Steak night was great value for money £27 for two people which included a free bottle of wine which was of good quality. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful We booked a superior room as we wanted a luxury weekend getaway. In comparison to the pictures on line our room seemed to be a standard room and was therefore quite disappointing. We were assured that the room was superior.

The dinner on Friday evening can only be described as excellent Breakfasts were a little disappointing - eggs were quite greasy and we were not told of alternatives to the cooked buffet. Although we booked the Executive double room, the hotel did contact us the evening before we travelled to advise us that there was a wedding taking place whilst we were there and the room may be noisy. As such we chose to move rooms but they did not have any other executive rooms so we had to move to a superior which clearly wasn't up to the standard we were looking for, which was a shame

The staff were efficient and very pleasant, food good, nice bar area and restaurant. The location was very good for visiting several places of interest.i would reccomend the hotel, but choose a room outside of the main house. Our the room was in the main house and therefore old and very dated.it was badly in need of redecoration, the T.V.was very small and ancient.only 1 bedside lamp for a double bed, and shaver point and extractor fan did not work in the bathroom.

It was a short visit, but what I saw of the buildings and the grounds were beautiful. We attended a wedding reception which was very well organised. The breakfast was also very good and the staff attentive. It was very easy to find from the M4, and excellent value for money

The food was excellent. Staff were very obliging and courteous. The main buildings furnishings and decor gave a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel & staff demonstrated its multi-functionality very well (from single guests, young families, wedding reception & wedding fair in one weekend). The grounds were excellently presented in layout, diversity & neatness. In our room (No 50) there was - Loose toilet seat. The bathroom extractor fan wasn't working. Only one chair between two people. Cobwebs on the ceiling were left over our visit. Tv only showed 7 channels out of the 14 listed. We couldn't operate the sash window as the key was stuck in the lock.Car Park - (the secondary car park, next to the exit point) the parking slots need to be redefined as inconsiderate parking choked the exit access causing difficulty in turning around, to exit out of the 'in' point. The exit from the Hotel onto the main road is quite dangerous as the view to the left is obscured by overhanging foliage of the hotel hedging.

Did not spend much time in the hotel as we were visiting friends in the area. However, two points to raise. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, were very small. No room for suitcases. Also, though it states there is internet connection, we found it impossible to connect, so not good for business. May have been the distance of our room from centre of hotel?

Comfortable hotel in the country. Easy to access many tourist spots. Not an old English farm house though as the picture implies. We had a first floor room, which was a bit pokey and a little 10 year old tv.

Room 38 was wonderful - the bathroom exquisite! Soap dish required in Shower. Staff need to open windows in the conservatory - and in particular the high level vents in the roof slope - they allowed it to be too hot to enjoy a meal while wearing a jacket & tie.

Reception staff were extremely pleasant which after a long drive went down very well. First impression of our room was that it was clean and comfortable looking. Bar staff were very pleasant, courteous and helpful. Unusually for us, we had a very good first nights sleep. Hotel beds don't rate very high with us. Marsh Farm was an exception. Breakfast was very good with no shortage of food and a good selection. All in all, I would rate Marsh Farm highly and without hesitation would recommend them as an excellent place to stay. One thing I would comment on was that we had an evening meal on the first night and although nicely cooked was a bit short and I had to resort to the cheese board to 'fill up'

Breakfast was pretty good, water pressure in the shower was good (and there was a bath), plenty of free parking, quiet location but easy access from m4 No hooks in the room for wet coats, bathroom door was off its runners, unpleasant stains on the dressing table stool, had to fix the coat hanger hooks in the wardrobe, no desk to work at laptop
