Very relaxed place great food & the staff as super friendly will deffo go back :)
Friendly and welcoming staff
Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Location is great, nothing around so very quiet but not too far from Ingleton (15mins walk). There is another pub in Ingleton but knowhere near as good as this one. Very tasty food (around £10 a meal ) and beer £3.80 a pint. Lovely break and dog friendly too.
Lovely spot, 20 mins walk into next village with shops. Food ok in the pub and staff great. It was cheap but a bit like staying in your granny's spare room. We'd stay there again happily on a business trip but not as a holiday base maybe, excellent value for money
The rooms need some updating
The friendliness of all the staff, felt at home
Amazing quiet place. Great food. Friendly staff. Complete darkness at night makes for really amazing star gazing
The hotel is 1 mile away from nearest transport but that didnt bother us atall.
Fantastic helpful staff who sorted out problems with heating kettle and shower quickly. Enjoyable food.
In need of a very good clean. Everything dirty and could do with being redecorated due to marks on walls.
Only stayed 1 night, ate in the bar- food was fantastic. Great value for money, clean room and helpful staff.
The pub had a very good atmosphere and a good range on the menu. Breakfast was delicious and the man who looked after us was genuine and made us laugh. Thanks guys xx
Food was excellent and the room was more than expected for value for money. The staff were great, friendly and helpfull. Will deffinatly be going back.
I loved the comfy bar with relaxing feel. Gorgeous location next to old church. My dog wasn't well in the night and they were helpful the next day.
My kettle didn't work but that would have been resolved I am sure if I had reported it.
It was in a lovely location just a short walk from the village of Ingleton, the room was cosy and comfortable. We stayed in Febuary and it was very good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The Wi-fi in our room did not have a very good signal and kept cutting out. They also only had one ale on tap for 2 of the nights despite being a real ale pub.
The hotel is warm, quaint and friendly just what you would expect from an old, quiet Yorkshire establishment. Staff couldn't do enough, food delicious and room comfortable for what we needed.
Not a negative but is about fifteen minutes walk into the small village with a handful of shops, take a torch if your out after dark as no lighting on the lanes.
Location, staff, relaxed atmosphere. Great for pets.
Not knocked over by the food.
We arrived early but had called the day before and got into our room. Had a funeral at Ingleton so had to be on time. Had a great sandwiches and coffee. Staff very polite and obliging.Did not come back till late and went straight to bed, room warm and comfortable. Great "what do you want" breakfast And had to leave straight after. Would go again.
I could find no faults in such a short stay
food excellent, staff lovely, very friendly and welcoming
heating went off during the day, quite cold when we got back. heating did not come on till 5pm we used electric heaters that were in reception but they kept going off
Staff very helpful food great
No hot water or heating during the day room very cold wanted to take a hot shower at 4pm after a cold day in the hills so couldn't get clean nor warm would expect this to be a basic necessity
food, value for money
Very friendly and helpful staff, sensible price, spacious room with good heating & plenty of hot water, great food and a really nice atmosphere in the bar. Nothing pretentious about the place at all which makes it very welcoming no matter what you're in the area for or how you arrived. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning with friends.
Nothing to dislike
room warm,bed soft.food ok
doghair on carpet in room
Clean, basic rooms with adequate facilities. Good breakfast. Simple menu in pub but well cooked.
Due to age of building, some creaky floor boards causing a bit of noise from rooms above but nothing that bothered us late at night.
dog hanging round while eating
the owner and staff were great, nothing too much trouble, good selection of ales on the bar, and the food was also good, and it is in a great location
they ran out of red wine during the evening, bit of a sin for a pub, our room was comfy, but the place needed a good deep clean although the bed and linen were clean. Breakfast seemed a bit chaotic, and the chef needs to ensure he has clean clothes on before taking orders and cooking food, the clothes he was wearing while we were there sorry to say needed washing urgently. To sum up, the place lacks a womans touch.
We enjoyed the whole experience
