Excellent, friendly staff. Lovely location. Excellent food and wide range of well kept drinks. Lovely log fire. Cosy room overlooking historic church.
Pet friendly hotel and no problem make a gluten free meal for the staff!Very good-we´ll be back soon :-)
Good food in the bar and a good range of guest ales.
Working away breakfasts were later than most places stayed at.
The Welcome on arrival, the comfort and cleanliness of the room. very cosy
Nothing really, it was just what we thought it would be
Owner was very friendly and chatty and hotel wasn't too far from the town,
Heating wasn't working but couldn't be helped. Only 1 person serving at breakfast so long delay
The area is stunning. The hotel is old and quaint. The hospitality very good. The welcome and friendliness second to none!
Unfortunately the heating had broken down but electric heaters were provided so the rooms were warm. Eating area still abit cool but the food was lovely!
Attentive, informative and very convivial staff. A stunningly beautiful location and a sense of old world charm. Good breakfast which set us up for the day, decent evening menu and well-kept ales. Pleased to discover that defect on boiler had no effect on supply of hot water at high pressure from the shower head! Best value for money that we've enjoyed in a very long time.
Defective heating boiler overcome by temporary (and very effective) electric heaters in bedrooms, but public rooms a little on the chilly side during the evenings, despite best efforts to keep the log burner stoked-up . . .
The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant in the pub served great food with good variety.
Unfortunately although the wifi worked very well in the pub, we could not get it in our room.
Friendly helpful staff, good food in the bar, cute resident dog, nice view of old church from room
Lighting in room(spotlights attached to a beam ! Please get some lamps Wouldn't stop me staying again as I really like the place
Evening meal was excellent Room ideal for me and my 2 boys Location great for Pen y Ghent as well as the waterfalls walk.
Additional bed not set up on arrival as requested on booking.com
Relaxed atmosphere, great food . Staff really cared about customer service.
evening meals were excellent both in content and value for money.
Needs a womans touch in things like candles on tables. Also needs a basket for logs not a cardboard box.Breakfast service was a bit slow.
very helpful friendly staff
dog friendly, friendly staff, clean and tidy room, great breakfast, lovely quiet location
For the price the single room was very good value. As a beer drinker, the selection of real ales at the bar was very good and the food very wholesome.
There was nothing to dislike.
The food is great. The location is remote but near the village if required. The food and real ales are well prepared and served.
Location, woodburner, food in the evening, good selection of ales.
Disgusting breakfast, watered down cheap orange juice, cheap cereals in poundland Tupperware, black bananas, nuked English breakfast swimming in fat. I've eaten better in a lay bye van. Obviously the chef in the evening doesn't cook the breakfast in the morning. It was vile ! I would not stay there again.
Lovely food, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms/bed, in the countryside and only a short walking distance from the village
Lovely pub / hotel, everyone very friendly and great beer. Nice log burner. Good with all the dogs. Good food.
Sausages at breakfast were awlful.....we were not alone in leaving ours !
Location, quietness, view from room friendly staff, local ales good food all in all very happy
Tv in room didn't work properly
Loved our first stay here... Was not expecting much as it was cheap but we were surprised by how lovely our room was... Beautifull room, lovely n clean, great facility's Loved our stay as a birthday nighf away.. Staff are great and so friendly and helpfull... Middle of nowhere bliss... Will defo be going back 5*
Have nothing to complain about... Great place!
We liked everything
Hotel was great-food was great. Staff were genuine. Didn't like having to pay six quid for going on a walk-Back home in Scotland we can go on walks like that for free. Apparently, a shark tried to dodge his fare and the park ranger chased after him. The shark turned round and vommited up his lunch and said: 'There's the sick squid I owe you.'
You probably guessed it from my previous stuff :-)
