The location is excellent, with a decent breakfast. The staff are also willing and friendly.
Badly in need of a makeover. The rooms are a bit of a lottery,if you drop on a good one,you can have a reasonable stay at a fair price.
Clean Rooms presentable Car park
Change my room booking without consulting me or any notice
Lack of warm bedding, hotel needed a complete upgrade.
1. Staff were friendly and helpful. 2. Being able to go upstairs following nigh out.
1. Lack of cleanliness (three rooms viewed before acceptable level of cleanliness noted) 2. Unkempt and in dire need of refurbishment. 3. Fire alarm going off repeatedly up until 02:00 at which time we were advised by staff they had isolated the fault leaving us wondering if alarm was activated. 4. Both evening meal and breakfast portions were limited.
Breakfast. Lots of car parking. Rooms are large.
Is a out dated, could be a really good hotel with an upgrade. Bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom would profit with an exhaust fan.
Location friendly staff
Dated and peeling decor
Lack of comfort
Handy for visiting family. Staff and food was excellent, so much, going back in January
The location is fantastic with access to all major routes. Breakfast was perfect, the restaurant staff were polite and friendly, as were the reception staff.
The rooms and corridors are all looking a bit tired and in need of a facelift, but this in no way affected my comfort.
Overall a pleasant stay ,will definitely be recommending this place
I've got nothing negative to say
Arrived to find the room decor looked a bit tired but could not complain about the service or the actual hotel Shower was hot & powerful, bed was firm but comfortable and staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was cooked fresh & catered for Vegetarians - Would return here again :)
Number of people hanging around & smoking outside at night - did not look good on arrival or when we returned each evening
The staff were the highpoint of my stay at this hotel.
This hotel is a shabby rundown '70's type hotel that needs to be brought into the 21st century.
Place was ok,a bit dated and in need of a luck of paint but ideal for what we needed. Would stay there again
The food was excellent and plentiful
Excellent pub across the road serving good food in clean surroundings and attentive staff
The hotel is dirty. Carpets in communal areas had not been vacuumed and our bathroom floor was filthy. Cleaner had obviously wet some toilet papery to wipe around edges leaving little sausages of tissue. Decor in hotel is tasteless. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together with ancient sprung matter eases.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. I left some clothes behind and they kindly agreed to post them to me. Food was very good
bed was a bit too hard for my liking
Helpful, friendly staff.
State of bath ... not a refurbished room but, though really clean, the bath was well past 'use by date'
We have stayed here before and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The newly upgraded rooms are of a very high quality. ..
FOOD, Dirty Bath room bed room dirty could here people next door talking all night walls paper thin due to poor construction and isolation Plus over Prised
The night porter was good with a welcoming manner. Bar open good selection of drinks with the bar tender having a good understanding of the drinks. Parking is excellent.
Was not stocked up greatly ran out of egg when I got there. Wifi for the laptop never worked.
