very easy,relaxed,good value for money

upgraded to a better room, room was clean and comfortable though some light bulbs needed replacing. room 131 breakfast is very good

room 135, no plug in sink, bathroom needs updating particularly the shower attachment.

The general unkempt feel to the place. The wallpaper hanging off the walls in the ensuite bathroom. The holes in the carpet.

The staff were friendly and the food was good.

The management do not seem to care about the appearance of the hotel. Despite the 'upgrade' of the bathrooms everything else is shabby, tired looking and worn - quite depressing. The use of the dining room as a main through route for staff and couriers disturbed our breakfast each morning - another management problem!

The man ,using a rifle(what type I don't know) shooting at pigeons outside of our room window(204) where the large gates are, Not very nice nor legal!! I have thought about reporting it to the police

the hotel is well overdue a refit , some of the rooms look like the set of heartbeat and they smell. hotel was very very noisy

The room was awful - shabby, shower consisted of rubber hose atached to taps. Decor falling apart. Cramped. Smelt like an ex-smoking room. View was 5 yds across to another room. Buffet breakfast ran out of food, meaning we had to wait for more to be brought on both occasions, when we arrived 10 minutes before the closing time.

place needs a good facelift

The location was good. Well connected to the motorways. Car park was spacious and safe. Staff were helpful.

I could not sleep properly in both nights. There were some group of people staying in the room above and they were making loud noises till 4:30 am !! and waking up at 6am again. I complained but the staff said they can only apologise. So may be a compensation of one night would be good for customer's good will.

We wanted a cheap stay and the price was good. Breakfast was excellent for the price and the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. Although, the room was very tired and in need of decoration, we were infomed of this on booking the value room and the important things like bedding and towels were clean.

Shower tray was clean but the shower curtain was not at all clean, this really needs to be changed- even for a budget room.

The breakfast is included in the price making this hotel incredible value for money.

I found the staff to friendly and helpful. The room at £37.50 per night was described to me as old with a bath only. On arrival I found the room to be perfectly adequate for my needs, it was spacious, clean and tidy with a television on the wall and coffee and tea making facilities in the corner and a refurbished bath room with a shower and plenty of hot water. The members of staff who serve the quests in the restaurant was some of the friendliest I have meet in the many hotels I have stayed in up and down the country. The food was first rate home cooked main meals served with fresh vegetables, it was always hot and plentiful, I can not say at any time that I came away from the table thinking I was dissatisfied with the food or the service. I will defiantly stay the Marton Hotel again. In fact I will be booking again in the near future.

By the end of my stay at the Marton Hotel I will have stayed seven nights. I can't think of anything I would want to complain about

The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Why? 1. Dirty bathroom, pubic hairs in the bath. 2. 2 TV stations that worked. 3. Noisy plumbing anytime anyone in another room used the toilet this would wake you up. 4. Creaking floorboards again being woken up. 5. Paper thin walls, could hear other rooms people bealcing, passing wind, having sex, woken up again at 2.30am! Had to leave and slept in my car, so much more comfortable. Complained next day to hotel by email, no apology no hint at a refund. Booking.com you must have this hotel deleted from your records brings your name down and environmental health should inspect this place. Hotel should be closed and is a deserved 0 out of 10. Avoid, as said car was more comfortable.

The accommodation was very good, also the breakfast. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and tidy.

Not enough 13amp power points. The heating needs turnong down a couple of degrees. Externaly it requires a refurbishment also some parts inside, ie paint, varnish and new wood work and window frames by the front door. The car park requires to be laid out correctly so that cars can park correctly. A large investment on the outside would work wonders.

Rooms were disgusting. Dirty, shabby and very old fashioned. Shower did not work and tv did not work.

the reception area, stairs, entrance looked tired and in need of redecoration, but on the whole the hotel offered good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
