very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. If we required something it was brought to our room quickly Having 5% service charge added to bill without prior warning. They did say they would take it off if we wished but I feel we should have been told in advance. |

Room facilities and decor cleanliness, nice fresh bed linen. Great swimming pool and sauna. Friendliness of staff, not too formal. Good jungle themes. jacuzzi too small and not effective. Breakfast hot food was covered with sealed lids which steamed the food too much rather than giving it a fried texture. |

I love the way the rooms are in amongst the trees (and the squirrels) and how close it is to Marwell. The rooms are incredibly hot, even with the fan provided. The bathrooms need work and the room could have been cleaner. |

Reception staff were very helpful with regard to both booking a restaurant table and giving us directions upon departure. The room was exceedingly hot despite the radiator being off. Evening restaurant staff were not overly attentive. |

Staff all friendly.Breakfast was satisfactory. General theme would appeal to young families. Despite my complaints, it was adequate if you are looking for a basic hotel, although the price does not reflect this. Yes! there was a distinct lack of attention to the cleanliness and general state of the rooms. My tap was broken, the plug did not open as it was encrusted with limescale and as a result the sink blocked each time the tap was run. The shower fitting appeared ingrained with dirt; I did not investigate too closely. I had 2 cups on my drinks tray, one of which was chipped and the other was dirty with a ring of drink at the bottom. My remote control for the TV was covered in dried chocolate. My son reported that the spoon in his room was dirty. There were no signs on the windows explaining that you could open then securely with the result I slept with all the windows shut and had to suffer the heat in the morning which was quite unbearable. |

The hotel was an unusual design set in quiet countryside. The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. Bathroom was a little dated |

I particularly enjoyed the feeling of being in the middle of the woods and the wonderful walks around the hotel. I didn't enjoy the piped music. |

Quirky The power cut when we arrived which required us to immediately depart to Winchester to eat at our own cost of some £35 in taxi fares |

It was close to the zoo and had an African feel to the place. My children enjoyed their stay as it was close to the zoo. We were able to purchase subsidised tickets to the zoo. The Pool being behind the reception desk ? Seemed a strange arrangement. The exercise machines being in full view of the pool ?. I would of liked to exercise in a separate room alongside the pool. There was only a small room to run in. However, the sauna was well located. |

With a beautiful, peaceful setting in 54 acres of tranquil parkland, Norton Park is one of the finest hotels in Hampshire and is ideal for a relaxing break. |
This privately run hotel is conveniently located just 2 minutes drive from Southampton Airport in a quiet woodland setting near Lakeside Country Park, just off junction 5 of the M27. |
