Good package. Friendly staff. Pleasant room. A la carte dessert was exceptional (coconut parfait) Asked for bottle of champagne on arrival - it wasn't there. However staff did get it to room once we had arrived. Restaurant staff had no idea what cheeses were on cheeseboard ( there were only four)

The hotel was great and the manager terrific. We had a few issues when we first checked in (we had booked 4 rooms but they only thought we had booked one). As a result, all our rooms were not located near each other which was a bit of a pain. The manager at the hotel however (a lovely lady), was very accomodating and ended up reducing the rate of our stay considerably and did her very best to try and remedy the situation (one of our group even got upgraded to a terrific room). All in all, although there were a few issues on check-in, they did their best to accomodate. A lovely hotel. Well recommended.

Price, at & £85 per night it's good value. I took my own cork screw, on returning to the room for the 2nd night the cork screw had been taken by the cleaning staff & couldn't be found. Surely cleaning staff would ascertain whether the cork screw was hotel property before taking it ?

The room was very spacious, with a large bed & bathroom. There was free fruit & Mineral water available with great tea & coffee facilities. The room was tidy and very 'oldy worldy' (we stayed in the Anne of Cleves Room) There was plenty of staff to help out when we first arrived. The hotel is located close to the M25, however, its far enough away to avoid any traffic noise. The old bedrooms did not hold up well to other noise. There was a christmas party/carol concert quite close to our room and I almost felt I was there! Anyone coming up the steps towards the other rooms in the area also felt like they were coming into our room. At breakfast, service was quite slow and the continential buffet was a bit bare (we came towards the end of the service). The size of the english breakfast was not worth the £10 paid [£15 if you paid at the time])

Close to m25 but not near enough to hear the traffic. Greeted by friendly staff and room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and service excellent. Thge deal we received was amazing for a 4* hotel. We were asked to pay on day of booking but when previously using Booking.com we have not settled the account until departure.

Full of character, friendly, good location, excellent staff, very nice room (21), comfortable. The bed was a bit small (we're used to super king size bed), and young people came back to their room at 2 or 3 in the morning next door, and made a huge amount of noise - particularly loud closing of doors - again and again. Every time we dropped off, there was another loud bang.... Doors need to be on slow closers.

Breakfast very poor, served cold, bacon looked like it had been reheated. Much better when cooked to order rather than out of tureens on table.

Excellent staff; beautiful hotel with great facilities. I loved the way that the modern extensions to the hotel have been blended in well with the original tudor style of the hotel.

We stayed for two nights to visit family nearby. The staff were more than helpful and friendly. Our room was excellent, cleaned beautifully while we were there. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The service in the restaurant was first class - we really enjoyed our meals there. But of all the lovely food - the scrambled egg was to die for! Despite the fact the hotel is on a main road the room was very quiet. Very pretty gardens and an extremely comfortable lounge area. We will certainly go back.

We like peace and quiet and we usually get it here. We are not breakfast people, a cup of tea and coffee and a slice of toast normally suffices, there only seemed to be a full "English" which we don't" do. If there was a "Continental" available it was not very apparent.

Staff were very friendly from the beginning of our stay to the end. The hotel looks small when you first arrive from the outside but once you set foot inside, it is like going into another world. The food was to die for! We attended a wedding and really enjoyed it. The detail for the wedding was next to none and the rooms we stayed in were overlooking the garden. What a nice sight to wake up to in the morning. A little bit out of town. Maybe a 15 minute walk
