Location Value Privacy Cleanliness Flexibility of use Facilities, crockery etc
Heating not working Shower head holder broken so awkward to shower No guidance for facilities e.g. Shower room extractor on switch not obvious nor labelled Confusion when arriving, unclear instructions as it is not a hotel but a flat above a solicitors.
Location and room size.
Tv didn't work and blinds were broken/had a blanket hanging over them so we couldn't keep all the light out. Walls were thin so we could hear everyone else.
Great price, great location!
No name on the door, make sure you remember the house #!
No signage on road. Arrived on a Sunday from overseas and stood outside the front door for 30min before finding a contact number and calling someone to let us in.
great location and price
the apartment just needs a bit of T.L.C , good modern facilities but brackets in bathroom for example hanging off, all it needs is a handyman to spend a couple of hours to put everything right, if i had my tools with me at the time i would have
Close to Marylebone station. Well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Will stay again.
Shower fillings need to be repaired but still worked fine. I had a room on the road which had quite a bit of traffic noise. Perhaps heavy curtains will reduced the road noise.
Great location, just round corner from Marylebone Station, shops and eating places just down the road. Clever buiilt-in kitchen with most things you might want - though not glases for some reason, perhaps an oversight. Easy to find and access via the helpful solicitor's next door.
Bathroom (downstairs within the apartment) was a bit cold, despite the heated towel rail. But it really was very good, clean, comfortable and not too expensive.
Cheap. enough equipment. If you want to stay long, nice way to save your money in London.
Difficult to find. they don't have the sign of "Marylebone Lodge", even its located from 2 mins from the Marylebone station. The Marylebone staion is not good access from the center, and also Bakerloo line is really crowded, its better to walk from Baker Street station. The reception working hour is 9.00-16.30, so we cannot left luggage. The Marylebone station also doesn't have left luggage service, we need to go to King's Cross early in the morning even we will use train from Marylebone.
The studio was in a good location only two minutes from Marleybone station and the cleanliness was of a good standard. Compared to several travel lodges that we have stayed in, the room was not bad value for money.
We were given our passwords for the doors and were shocked to find a piece of paper with the passwords allocated to a previous occupant.......the codes were exactly the same as the ones allocated to us. It doesn't take a master criminal to enter the room at a later date and steal someone's belongings...a security review is suggested! Not all rooms look like the one in the pictures, our kitchen was a sink, fridge and two small hobs inside a cupboard. The Room was very hot so we kept the window open all night which meant lots of noise early in the morning.
Thought this place was a great place to stay, very clean and I would stay there again when I visit london.
A week before arriving the money left my account which I wasn't expecting. The shower in room E was dirty and didn't drain quick enough as the water damaged floor showed and felt dark and damp with one of the lamps gone. Carpet on the stairs was loose and dangerous and the smelly cheese in the fridge that was left stank the place out. Room D was one room and not ideal for a couple and a friend, the electrics didn't all work.
Great location and good value for money
A baby staying in the opposite room disturbed both our nights sleep in the early hours of the morning
shower which did not work very well, also street noise as it is not double grazed. But the rest of the place is fine.
Location was excellent and the studio itself had everything we could have asked for - felt like a home from home. Bigger than we thought too, with thoughtfully organised space.
Noise from other flats early in the morning was fairly constant from about 6AM.
The location is the best, if one cannot afford to stay on the Strand or somewhere in the very centre of London. The Marylebone station is literaly next door (3 stops to Oxford, 4 stops to Picadilly). Also the Edgware station (to Knightsbridge, King's Road) is 5-6 blocks away and the bus terminal that takes you to Trafalgar Sq, Regent str, Oxford str. is also very close. The room was a bit small but very clean, towels changed every day, bathroom was brand new and clean, hot water all day long and the kitchenette had everything one could need. The room was too hot for my taste but this could be a plus for wintertime (I visited in October). A Tesco and an M&S food store are nearby if one wants to fill the fridge with goodies. Overall: Perfect location, affordable and clean.
The room was too hot for my taste. Lack of elevator makes it hard to check in/out if you are heavy packed.
Location and everything worked!
Not much at all - Loo seat needed repairing
It locates in the London zone 1. The room is quiet spacious, especially considering the location. The neighbourhood felt quiet and safe at night. I have a hot-plate, a toaster, a microwave, a small fridge and a kettle in my room. Overall, it is sufficiently good for its price.
1. The kitchen in my room (room B) is not very well facilitated. You can only make breakfast such as porched eggs and microwave porridge with this kitchen. It is not the kitchen you see in the picture. 2. Sometimes you can hear the noise of TV from other rooms. It is understandable because it is an old lodge. 3. It was a bit difficult when I first check-in. You can only find this place by its address, without any signs or advertisement outside. You should knock the solicitor office next to the entrance of the lodge to check in your room. They are nice and helpful, though. 4. You don't have a key or a key-card to access the lodge and your room, but simply a series of passwords. Since the passwords were so simple, I felt a bit shaky during my stay..
10 minutes from Paddington station . comfortable bed. Very clean and modern. The microwave and fridge were very handy. Short walk to underground
Location is convenient right next to Marylebone Station. The price is good for London. Communication is good with the manager.
No lift - a problem if you have heavy luggage. Very noisy on the main road with single glazed window, so it disturbed our sleep.
Close to 2 tube stops. More space than a single hotel room but not much more and not as nice as the photos.
Up many many narrow stairs to hot apt with little ventilation.
Very close to tube- Marylebone & Edgware Road. Some decent cafes couple minutes walk from Lodge. No keys needed, just have to remember the door codes. Simple room suitable for couple nights, some very basic and very few utensils if you intend to use them. Good price considering its quite central London.
Room 2B was quite warm even with adjusting central heating, would be uncomfortable if it were a summer night. Some cheap bathroom fittings which tend to fall off. Wifi did not work during stay, there for 1 night so did not bother asking why, may have been simple fix but did not connect on many attempts.
location is good, nearby the metro stop.
not easy to find it, the reception door was locked no one answer the phone when we arrived the first and could not find it, it was raining, so bad! the reception is available only routine working hours, no nights no weekends; along the road, police alarm every half or one hour, could not sleep well; no kitchen ventilator;
Excellent overnight stop. Great location. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good value accommodation.
subject to road noise and could not close the window properly. The shower needs fixing, one of the fittings holding it to the wall was not attached which made it awkward to use.
We liked having the facilities of a Self catering apartment with fridge hobs, kettle and toaster. Good location, underground nearby, central location but far enough away from hustle and bustle.
We had to use key codes to enter the building and rooms and questioned how secured this was.
