Hotel was in a good location and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel seems dated and in need of a refurbishment. It also had an abandoned feel to it but that may be due to it being off-season. The bedside wall-lamps in our room really need seeing to as one fell down and hit my partners head.
extra heating put in room, didnt have to request it. Friendly service. Breakfast good.
I seemed to be the only guest
Location, friendliness of staff, price
Single room a bit on the tight side
Views. over the sea.A little bit chilly but was given an extra heater which was adequate ,also plenty of extra bedding was available.Tea facilities in room. Help given to carry luggage to room and plenty of parking space.
Shower was a bit dated with shower curtain and a wobbly shower head but water was hot.Needed some attention as grouting was a bit mouldy
Location was brilliant.....easy access to main routes.....breakfast choices were good...room size for my sister and I were ample....
room was damp.....no hot water....was offered use of another room tho.....beds were way to soft and uncomfortable....
friendly atmosphere, relaxed surroundings, very enjoyable. Dining room well laid out, plenty to eat.
nothing to find fault with, suited our needs.
The hotel was right on the seafront and very near (5 minutes walk) to the train station and the town centre.
The owners/managers were not very welcoming and hardly spoke to us at all. On the second morning my fiancée did not even get asked if he wanted a hot breakfast, which should have been part of the booking package in any case. The ensuite bathroom was really minute (and we are both small people), the temperature of the water extremely erratic, the toilet seat was broken and there was a leak on the floor.
Outdated rooms poor lighting tv hit and miss window catches don't work. Curtains hanging off, walls so thin can hear next door guest snoring and breathing noisey. No hot water to basin/bath had to use shower head to run hot water to basin for a shave.blanket used as an undersheet! Springs in bed sticking in body.
The hotel and food was good.
There was no heating in the bathroom or ventilation and no hot water for a bath. The shower was hot. The heating only came on at 6 till 9 in the evrrning and the heating was not on in the morning so very cold in the mornings. The hotel had an unpleasant smell of indian food on arrival. The hotel was damp in some areas.
The bathroom door didn't shut easily. The cold tap in the basin didn't work. The bathroom wall was covered in mould. There was a smell of urine in the bed. We didn't stay for breakfast because we thought the standard would be poor.
No heaters in the room. I was given room heater. Despite having a kid
location nice area very nice hepfull lady
Good location to sea front. Ample parking. Good number of power sockets per room.
Steps to front door. Lack of staff. One room was inadequate with cleanliness that we had to swap for another room. Breakfast was basic but did the job.
The view of the sunrise through the dirty window
Everything. No heating, damp smelling room. Bar closed, dirty room. When the water finally got hot it smelt like off eggs.
The hotel was clean, well situated with nice views to the sea and not expensive. The room was tidy and spacious and accomodation included full English Breakfast. Late check in is also available.
There was't enough staff and so we had to wait for our check in for the one and only lady that seamed to be taking care of everything to give us our key. Because there weren't many people staying the bar was closed and the lady didn't seam very eager to open it for us so we went to our room later in the evening. Very bad windows next to the beds and although closed and with the curtains shut you could feel the air coming in. If this wasn't October it would have been a greater issue I believe.
excellent location, nice big room with a sea view, very clean, good provision of towels and blankets, comp breakfast and good rates
the hotel was understaffed
the fact that a price is stated and then find out that VAT is added after! This hotel is not suitable for disabled people. Breakfast was stone cold. holes in the ceiling and some electrics not working. Also very cold - no heating!
Good Location if you get a sea view
Everything including - Reception Shut on arrival. Screaming Kids in Breakfast Room. No Drinks in Bar [or Ice] Wasp in Drink. Lost Room Keys. Double Bed being 2 Singles pushed together. Room Radiator not working. No lock on Bathroom Door. Shower Unit falling off of the Wall. Toilet didn't flush properly. I could go on - Appalling Hotel.
Close to sea
Everything else. 2 night stay booked, so unclean had to leave after the first night. Complained and asked for refund to be told computer was broken so unable to do so (handy)
Near the beach, shops and station. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Rooms and furniture are very old, not maintained well, ok for b n b style but expensive at £65 per night
Bed very comfortable Staff polite Location - about a minutes walk to the beach
Carpets need a good shampoo Water temperature - hot water is scalding hot Decor very dated Bar not open on a Saturday night
Booked for 4 nights could only stand 2 so the best thing about this "hotel" was leaving it.!!!!!!
The "hotel" was shabby, run down, musty, unclean & no staff about only the Asian lady who seemed to do everything herself. The breakfasts were lukewarm includung the tea & children were riding in the dining room on roller skates. The first room we were given was dirty,no blinds to the bathroom window that you could not close properly & looked out onto the garden & the toilet did not flush. The second room was not much better but we had a 200 mile journey & were very tired.About 11pm we were woken from banging upstairs only to be described as a"lady of the night"-they finally left the building at 3am,The second night an Asian family were shouting to each other until we had to contact the lady owner who spoke to them & at 2am things went quiet,Never again & never would I recommend this place to anyone.
