I thought this accommodation was appalling and felt unsafe as a single woman travelling with two children. The Hotel looked lovely but we were shown to a grotty, disgusting porr excuse for accommodation 10 minutes walk around the corner. it was loud, noisy, dirty and totally unacceptable. i will be going out of my way to tell everyone of my terrible experience with this hotel

We had a nightmare with this hotel in regards to the booking confirmation/method of payment. I filled in all the payment details re booking.com but had a phonecall on the day from the Mayflower to say that payment had not been taken? So I went through the details with them over the phone and they asked me to confirm by fax, to which I did. They then contacted me again requesting a copy of the cardholder's passport and a copy of the credit card used (front and back) which I did not feel comfortable doing as it is was a corporate credit card and breaches confidentiality agreements. Anyway, after a lot of time being wasted, they wouldn't accept payment and my colleague had to pay for the hotel upfront which was most inconvenient and put her out of pocket. We will never use this hotel again due to the problems with accepting payment.

Staff were friendly. Location was good for museums and access to the city by tube. The drains smelled and I had to bleach them and the room had ants wandering about.

Location and location only but due to subway station in back and road in front it is very noisy. Very small rooms as in 8x8 feet for a double room with a bathroom size of 4x5. Unable to comfortable use the reduced size toilet. Shower had uneven water supply. Low quality towels and minimal supply of toiletries. Reception staff upon arrival was unprofessional, untrained and without manners. TV's are mini sized with complicated instructions and not working 50% of the time. Breakfast in basement consist of cold dishes - the same every day - and certain items run out. On a nice day breakfast can be eaten on the back patio which is nice but under renovation during top tourist season? Overall a disappointing experience, some of it very negative.

Nothing good Got to be the smallest room I've ver stayed in, No room to turn, bed too short and jammed in between two walls so my feet couldn;t even overhang. Bathroom was so small I had to leave the door open to use the toilet. When I turned on the tap there was the very load noise of a pump started and the same could be heard from each of the adjoining rooms through the paper thin walls. They advertise satellite tv but mine was a 20 year old portable suspended fom the ceiling only showing 2 channels and both of those were flickering. Breakfast didn't start until 7.30, too late for an early start. All in all a terrible hotel and definitely not recommended.

Location. A minute away from Earls Court station. Close to pubs and fast food. Walking distance to churches. The morning breakfast was marvelous and relaxing start to day. Front desk helped with all our special travel arrangements as well as a car for final day trip to Heathrowe. Rooms comfortable (and quaint). Plenty big for my wife and I. Hot drinks in room. Staff was superb and courteous at all times. We would absolutely love to stay here again! Convenience, amenities and price are a good draw as well as the healthy and filling breakfasts that come with the price of the room. Well. You probably should be somewhat fit. The lift is small and our choice was to use the stairs to our rooms on the fourth floor. The good news is that we both were more fit when we left than when we came to stay. The bad news is that if you are not able to do stairs, you might want to find a different location. Also, as mentioned by other travelers, the tele reception is not the best, however we did not come to London to watch the tele...so no great loss. Best to all who read this. Hope it helps you.

Front desk staff are quite nice and helpful. The room I was assigned to in the basement was well renovated and reasonably spacious. The real plus point, however, is its excellent and highly convenient location, just 2 minutes walk to the Earl's Court Underground Station and there are many shops and eating outlets, as well as the Co-Op and Tesco supermarkets within the area. Only continental breakfast was offered and the range of choices was rather limited. The shower caused considerable problems - it took quite some time to get something close to hot water out. Do read the Hotel Information (one copy in each room) carefully on how to operate the shower. Furthermore, the better time to get hot water seems to be after 7pm in the evenings and it's wise to turn on the tap and let the water run for a while until it turns warm, before getting into shower.

It was close to earls court tube station and reasonably cheap The shoebox sized rooms, the 4 person orgy in the next room was not what I wanted to hear at 4am....maybe being across from a nightclub makes this a regular thing at this hotel.

The continental breakfast was very good. The receptionist was trying to stifle laughter throughout the checkin process. I have no idea what was so funny. My bed was dreadfully uncomfortable - it felt like I was sleeping on a cardboard box. I ran the water in the (very nice) shower for 10 minutes before I got anything close to hot water. As I was rinsing my hair the water went cold again and I had to wait another few minutes before it warmed up again. Totally unacceptable.

The convenience of the location The room was smaller than I thought it would be; the bedspread on one of the beds was tatty ; the tv didnt work; For one night it was fine; when I asked if there was a larger room I could use I was told that was the one of their best! Ther staff were polite but not 'over' friendly. Ie I didnt feel reallly welcome - which was a shame. Breakfast was included and when I asked what time I was told from 730; as I had to leave by 730 I was a bit disappointed. (It seems a bit late to start breakfast!) When I mentioned that I was having to leave and would have to miss out I was told "that happens a lot"; my point is if you offer breakfast and this happens a lot then make it earlier so people can have something before they leave. As it happens there was no fruit (although I did ask the receptionist and she said I could go in a bit earler and take something) but you can hardly walk down the road with a bowl of cereal or piece of toast!. So disappointing on that score as well.

The description of the rooms ie. single rooms was very misleading. The size of the room was so small that I could only walk in. I would appreciate it if I was paying £25 not £95 approx. This has been the worst experience since my 15 years whilst staying at hotels.

It's location is very convenient for travellers who want fast access to London downtown offices or london sight seeing locations. The single room (with a double bed) is very small. There is hardly a place to put a large suitecase. This room size is only suitable for a single traveller and not a couple.

Location and reasonable price Staff serving customer at the breakfast dining area seemed to be pre occupied with other things in their mind, they appear reluctant even to look at customer in the eye and say hi or good morning, their smiles are very pretentious, could they be over worked?

The room was very small and the bed was squashed right up against the window! So you could only get in and out of the bed one way as one side, top & base of bed was against a wall. It couldn't be moved either. This meant that if one of us needed to get out during the night we would have had to climb over each other which was not great! I'm quite tall so when I laid down I couldn't stretch out as the wall was in the way. I believe the room is not really suitable for a couple due to the size of the room, it's good for a single person only!

I booked 2 rooms 1 luxury double for my daughter who has 2 toddlers and needed a break and good nights sleep the rooms were clean and we could not fault them we had everything we needed however my daughter had no sleep due to noise from the adjacent bldg the wall by the bed is just a stud wall so our trip was pointless also in the morning we were told the kitchen was closed altho it was only 9.15 but then they agreed to cook us breakfast we asked for 2 full english but only one appeared and then we were told we had only ordered one so we left the dining room v angry so the soundproofing needs sorting and the kitchen staff need to be sorted out too we had a day at the spa to relax and need another one after the nights fiasco at the mayflower Staff were incompetent location was extremely noise

Location was great. Earls Court station was just around the corner and central to a lot of tourist sites and underground lines. There was a medium-sized grocery very close and a huge grocery about 5-10min away. There was also a great variety of restaurants in the area. The complimentary breakfast was also pretty good. We got the 'standard' room (not the upgraded one) and it was terrible. It was incredibly stuffy and musty smelling. Even the bathroom that (although very small) had recently been upgraded stunk just terrible of mold and mildew. The bed and unnecessarily large armoire took up 90% of the space in the room. We were tripping over each other the whole time and hardly any space to even lay down your suitcase. There was no door or curtain on the shower (and no fan in the bathroom) so water got all over. And it was so stuffy in the room none of the towels dried on their own so we had to point the fan at the towels to help them dry. Even though the temp was quite mild and the humidity was low in London the room was too hot and there was no individual temp adjustments in the room. The bed and pillows were rock hard and there were no decorations on the walls at all - it was just a small white cube.

Great location near to Earls Court Tube. Lovely Reception and the breakfast was superb. The bed was comfortable and had quality bedlinen - and the cushions and pillows were all clean and lovely. The room was spotlessly clean. I chose this hotel due to the reviews, and because of the Indian style decor. I was disappointed in my room. It was a shoebox with hardly room to move. I kept hitting my feet on the built in shelf unit which overlapped the end of the bed. In order to put the kettle on I had to scarbble around under the shelf unit to remove the radio plug and it couldn't have been more difficult to access. Then of course the radio didn't save the time and needed re-setting. It must be annoying for the staff too - why not just change the socket to a double so the kettle can be left plugged in? The bathroom couldn't be used without the door open, and there should have been a shower curtain to protect the floor outside the shower. There was only a ceiling shower rose which wasn't suitable as I didn't want to get my hair wet. There were no toiletries in the bathroom - just one soap, altho I saw there were plenty the following day being placed in the rooms after cleaning.

The reception staff were very helpful. I was very disappointed with the Apartment. I had booked to have my parents (who are 80 years of age) with me in London for a weekend break. I was not aware that there was no elevator, so a hard climb for them to an apartment that was well below standard for the price that I had paid. A week before I had found a better Apartment on Bookings.com, but was obliged to keep this booking as they have a two-week cancellation policy (so check the small print). With such a policy I would have expected a much nicer apartment.

Overall value for money was good given it is a London hotel. It is a short walk from Earls court and West Brom Station. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a luxury room which, although quite small, was a nice enough room.We had a little balcony looking out on the front of the hotel which was a nice bonus. The only slight negative was that our bed was very noisy- something to do with the head board. It was comfy though. So if you are planning a "romantic" nights stay you might want to ask for a different room than no. 18. Breakfast was very adequate with toast, jams, fruit, juice etc available and in ample quantities. You have the option of paying for eggs etc too. Overall I would recommend
