Meadfoot Guesthouse is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Windermere. It offers large rooms with garden views, free parking, traditional breakfasts and free use of Parklands Country Club. Rooms at the Meadfoot have free Wi-Fi, TV’s and central heating. They also include baths, showers and tea/coffee making facilities. The dining room has patio doors leading onto a balcony with spectacular garden views. Sometimes deer can be seen roaming around the hotel’s grounds. 5 minutes away in Bowness is Parklands leisure club. Guests have free use of its facilities which include a pool, sauna, gym and steam room. There is also secure bicycle storage with a pressure washer to clean your bicycle after a days' riding. Windermere Train Station is a 5-minute drive from the guesthouse. The town centre has a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. The owners Gail and Steve were excellent hosts. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also excellent with the dining room overlooking the garden. The guesthouse was next to the shops and not far from the Lake. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. There was nothing we didn't like.

Friendly staff, that could not do enough for you. Good location, shops and pubs a few minutes walk away. Good recommendations on where to go, and what to do. I will definitely go back.

Lovely rooms, bathrooms with underfloor heating. Gail and Steve are very friendly and accommodating. 10 min walk into Windermere. Nice selection for breakfast

A walm welcome by Gail the owner as soon as we arrived and the rooms were clean and had a beautiful view of the garden. The bed was very comfy and didn't want to get out in the morning but got forced by the smell of a beautiful breakfast. Would recommend to anyone!! Parking can be a bit of a nightmare but managed to park on the road.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well-designed. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the heated towel rack. The hosts, Gale and husband, were very hospitable and friendly. Truly authentic English breakfast was served! Will definitely recommend this guesthouse to family and friends. Nil.

Really friendly welcome from Gail upon arrival.Showed us to our room and ran through the facilities.Room was clean,comfortable and had all that we needed. We met Steve at breakfast the next morning.He was also friendly & efficient.Gail cooked us a delicious breakfast.Good quality food and decent selection.We felt like nothing was too much trouble. The guest house is in a great location within easy walking distance of the village. The only thing my husband could mention was the bed wasn't long enough for him being 6ft 2!

we had a one night stop over with gail/steve on easter sunday into easter monday. their accomadation is very clean and it was more like being in your own bedroom! whole b&b was very nice and both gail/steve were the perfect hosts nothing, would recomend to any one

Everything was lovely, really clean, friendly and cracking breakfast. The only thing I would say is the toilet/shower room was quite small in our bedroom but it wasn't too much of a problem.
