A Victorian residence transformed into an award-winning guesthouse, Meadfoot Bay is just 650 ft from a Blue Flag beach. It is a 15 minute walk from central Torquay. Meadfoot Bay is a traditional, family-run bed and breakfast with a bar and a TV lounge. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Meadfoot offers a home-cooked breakfast using fresh, local produce. There is a carefully selected wine list and the bar also serves specialty coffees. All rooms have been individually decorated and include flat-screen TVs with Freeview cable. A number of rooms have direct access to the grounds or a balcony. The Meadfoot Bay hotel is just a 15 minute walk from Torquay harbor and the Living Coasts wildlife experience. Kent’s Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village and Torre Abbey are all within 2 miles of the guesthouse. Hotel Rooms: 20

Attentive staff, clean rooms, and very good breakfast The only thing I didn't really appreciate is the early checkout time (they say 10:30 although they didn't complain when we left at 11) and the fact that the entire hotel is non smoking even on your private terrace if you had one. We stayed in the deluxe superior room, which had a private terrace but otherwise was rather small (although well equipped) and it wasn't allowed to smoke there (which I was counting on!), which I thought was a bit over the top.

This hotel is so well run by the friendliest of family teams. It is an attractive building with tasteful decoration and good size rooms, and is exceptionally clean. The location is one of the quieter and more picturesque parts of Torquay, within a short walk to Meadfoot Bay, and close enough to the town area - parking is good, and there's a local bus to get you into town if you need it. We would definitely stay here again.

Very welcoming and cosy. Unfortunately we did not stay long enough though the hotel is very close to Meadfoot Bay and within walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast was very good and all the staff/owners could not do enough to make our stay the best they could offer. It was the first time in years that our bag was taken to our room - never been offered in any Hilton or Barcelo Hotels!

The Meadfoot Bay is ideally located close to Meadfoot Beach in a beautiful area of Torquay and yet is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre and harbour. The hotel is beautifully presented and furnished to a very high standard. The owners have take real pride in restoring this hotel and provide excellent customer service in these very relaxing surroundings.

Friendly, family run establishment. Cleanliness exceptional. Peaceful and quiet but near to town and beach. Would highly recommend and intend to return when re-opens after winter break. For preference breakfast would be available until 10am (8.30 to 9.30) at the weekend, but fully accept we are just lazy!

There was nothing wrong with the hotel. The staff were fine, the room was clean, but the hotel and room was very tired. The bed was extremely soft, and quite small. But I guess I didn't expect much more from Torquay. Its not a modern cosmopolitan city!

The owners of this family run hotel pay great attention to detail to ensure that their guests enjoy a pleasant, comfortable stay. Parking in the car park was a little tight but if you cannot get into the car park there is plenty of room on the quiet road outside.

This hotel is superbly run by the family who own it. They are very polite, helpful and friendly. The suite we had was luxurious and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the whole place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. There was nothing to dislike. I prefer more modern sparser furnishings but that's a personal preference and other people will love this hotels decor.

We were warmly welcomed from the start by Chris who made us feel at home straight away. Beautiful hotel, lovely and quiet so we had a good nights' sleep. Rooms were spotless although we would have liked what looked like a power shower to have been a little more powerful, but only a small thing. The car park is pretty tight but there is plenty of parking on the street so that wasn't really a problem. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice in a lovely calm environment. A great stay, thank you Chris and family!
