Meadow Cottage Guest House

Very close to airport and was ideal for us as we had a 7 am flight. Kitchen with all breakfast stuff available so no need to disturb anyone. Nice owner who has a great place and spotlessly clean.

We loved the charm of the meadow View - real olde worlde. Charming accommodation - very clean, comfortable beds. Excellent DIY breakfast and charming "mine host" Johan.

Friendly welcom

The cottage was built centuries back but it was super clean and in excellent condition. Parts and furnitures of the original dwell are still preserved. Also quite spacious room for two people. Excellent value for money.

Not much space to eat your breakfast but personally I didn't mind. Basic stuff were provided in the standard price.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful location.

The self service breakfast facilities were poor. For £5 I expect more than making my own toast and a yoghurt so we didnt bother. The heating wasnt on until late as the owner doesnt like it if guests leave the windows open. Hot water rather than lukewarm would have been nice after a long journey!

Beautiful rooms tastefully furnished. Comfy beds. New en suites.

Avoid room 12! Next to boiler it keeps you awake all night! Had to go into another room at midnight! Owner had turned her mobile off! Apart from that fine!

The house has been newly renovated. We were the first people to stay in our room! Johan was very helpful, and explained things very well. The house is a bit of a maze and you needed a tour guide to find your room ;-) Private parking at the back of the house. There looked to be great views over the mendips, but we couldn't really get the full benefit due to pouring rain!

A signpost from the main road would be nice; It took a bit of finding in the dark and rain. Oh, and the B*%%$y bathroom door height isn't tall enough!

We stayed for one night on our way to Bristol airport.The house is beautiful with super old beams & some very nice pieces of antique furniture.Breakfast is a do it yourself job (in the spotless kitchen ) which suited us fine as we were leaving very early in the morning for our flight so actually didn't bother except tea.Could not be more convenient for the airport - 5 minutes drive away.Thank you Johan, we will be back !!! Not the easiest place to find so directions & signage could be better

the room and facilites were clean and very good. I liked the way I could get breakfast or something to eat or drink at any time - very helpful when you fly in late at night!

It is a great example of proper English cottage in a country. It was second time I've stayed there and staff was very helpful and friendly, accommodation is just beautiful with lots of character. And it is 10 mins max from the Bristol Airport.

It's beautiful, peaceful, warm, cozy, quaint - a wonderful experience. I'd like to live there!

There isn't a thing I didn't like!

Lovely old place, beautifully decorated and, apart from the size of the double room, very comfortable. DIY breakfast worked fine for early departures.

The only complaint was that the double room was extremely small, even for just one night. It should be have been a single room. Hence only 5 for comfort.

Standard of the room was very good, though small. Bed was large and extremely comfortable.

Room was rather small for a deluxe room. The one we booked was supposed to accommodate an extra bed if necessary, but there was no way an exra bed would fit into our room. Slightly noisy beside the self-service kitchen as some people were leaving early, presumably to catch a plane.
