Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts, and pastries. Rooms at Meadowcroft are traditionally furnished, and benefit from a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is storage space in bedside chests of drawers and a wardrobe in every room. The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. A very friendly guest house, the owner and staff made us very welcome. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was delicious. Dogs are made very welcome, towels are provided at the door to clean dirty paws after a day in the fells. The local pub is a 2 minute walk, they are also very dog friendly. We hope to stay again soon.

Very friendly family run B&B with a warm welcome from Rosemary and Linda. Ideally situated with great access to Windermere and all local towns. Award winning pub only 100 yards walk with great beer and food menu. Good size rooms, excellent shower facilities. Exceptionally clean throughout. Great breakfast with excellent choice. Would recommend with absolute confidence.

The room was so warm and clean- and outside it was bitterly cold. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked, and I was made to feel instantly at home. There is a most attractive country inn 200 yards away where I enjoyed excellent venison casserole. They stock and excellent range of beers. I intend to return with my wife in the near future. Rosemary the owner was very helpful with local knowledge, cooks a lovely breakfast and provides good value for money. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with lovely views. The best b&b we have been to for a long time.

The Guest House was excellent, rooms nicely decorated, bathrooms excellent, overall clean and well-maintained. Breakfast substantial. Owners friendly. Good location, not in Windermere centre but easy to travel anywhere in the Lakes. Can't think of anything - loved our break.
