Whixall Whitchurch
This comfortable, family-run establishment in Snowdonia is nestled in the small market town of Llanrwst in the heart of the Conwy valley near Betws y Coed, North Wales. Sleep in one of the spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms and wake up with a hearty Welsh breakfast served in the up-and-coming restaurant Lle Hari. With a central location for Snowdonia National Park, the Gwydyr Forest and the Aberconwy coast, sightseeing is a must. If, on the other hand, having a drink andreading the newspaper is more your thing, then you can take a walk along Station Road to one of the old world pubs on Ancaster Square. The hotel promises to make every effort to ensure your first visit will not be your last. Hotel Rooms: 10 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 01:00 from United States of America.

We had a wonderful stay at the meadowsweet hotel. Myself and my sartner got engaged in the morning before our arrival and you would of thought the hotel staff had known. We were made to feel special and every need was catered for. The hotel staff were very friendly and our room was perfect. Great location, great hotel. The food was also very nice. Matt and Jenn.

The personal family feel of the smaller Hotel is so much more welcoming than the larger chain hotels in this budget range. The food was good ( decent portions) The rooms were great and the little extra's of fresh coffee (no instant) choices of teas, wine, toffee was great for the price. The bed was so comfortable I overslept and only just made my meeting. I don't really write reviews but I have taken the time to comment as the service, hospitality shown to my group was excellent such a welcomed change.

The hotel was very clean and tidy with nice friendly staff. The design and layout of the hotel was excellent and it had been recently decorated, we loved the colour scheme in the bar too. We met the owner and had a chat one evening and he was a very cool guy who obviously took great pride in his hotel and in making sure his visitors a first class stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Snowdon area and will stay there again myself when I am up that way.

The Service was second to non. The proprieter and his wife have done a fantastic job and the double deluxe room we had was very luxurious. The hotel restuarant produced fantastic food and the service was first class. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can. I would reccommend couples wanting a relaxing stay. I could not find anything bad to say about the hotel.

An incridible stay from start to finish. Nelson and all his staff made us so welcome. The service was first rate as they went out of their way to be helpful. The food was amazing so we ended up having our evening meal there all three nights. Great location to explore the moutains. Can't wait to return with my wife.

We intend to go back here on our next trip to Wales. The owners and the staff of the Meadowsweet were outstanding. We were travelling with our nearly 2-year old son and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and the lounge had great atmosphere with both a cool bar and a relaxed, fireplaced sitting area. The location is an easy walk to the train and high street, but directly across from an unobstructed meadow view to the mountains...superb for sunsets. It's also located as a perfect hub to reach nearby mountains and castles without staying in a busy, tourist-filled town. Great hotel!

The hotel was clean and tidy, well presented and the decoration was very nice. Our room was perfect and there was nothing I could fault from it. The furniture was in keeping with the building, good sized with lots of space, great facilities, comfy bed and light and airy and with character and a good array of goodies. Had a lovely drink in the bar, the menu looked very appetising, although we dinned out of the hotel at a local restaurant, just because we wanted to explore the town a little. The breakfast was good, with a nice variety of foods. The Welsh fry up was wonderful and light plenty to eat and in NO WAY like some greasy sloppy one you may find in some hotels. Location was great and the view out of our window was lovely, very romantic. Heard bad comments about the road before we stayed in the hotel. these are over exaggerated. As it was a very quiet road, plus there was no noise from the few cars due to double glazed windows. Cant think of any faults or complaints at all. :)

Not much to be honest the bed was confortable and location was good We arrived at the hotel and I was shocked the picture on the web site was nothing like what we saw when we got there ,the hotel is set on a busy road with no sheep or cows in sight , the next morning we woke up we were freezing cold we went to breakfast and we found a long hair in my daughters food we told the waitress and she took it away an without an apology we were shocked , we mentioned this to the reception staff who was apologetic and offer us a complimentary drink with our meal for dinner we told him we would think about it , later that evening we decided sit down to dinner, the room a was cold they took ages and the food was not up to scratch my daughters food was no edible as the chicken nuggets looked like they were defrosted and the potions are way too large for a small person to eat ours was much better either it was cold and didn't taste very good was not please when we finished dinner we mention to the receptionist about our room been cold she said she will get someone to look at it, she then turn up with a very small heater with was not sufficient for the family room we were given on further investing the room we found damp on one wall which they tried to cover up with a picture but the damp had cover most of it , the bathroom had mildew on the tiles and didn’t smell very sanitized. If you are looking to stay in this hotel please avoid room 6 or just save yourself the head ache and not stay there at all , it says 3 stars but not worth it at all we paid £420 including dinner not valve for money at all very disappointed.
