When we arrived we were immediately offered a free upgrade. The room had a four poster bed and armchairs. We were able to sit and read and watch TV in comfort. It would have been useful to have WiFi code in the otherwise comprehensive information booklet. Proprietors were very friendly.

Fabulous hotel! We stayed in room 3 with the 4 poster bed. Lovely views from the room onto open countryside. The room and hotel were impeccably clean. Bathrobes, slippers, filter coffee and wine in the room as standard - was great to have a bit of luxury. Breakfast was served quickly and tasted great. The hotel also incorporates a restaurant which we didn't try but looked good. We did have a nightcap before bed and the.service was warm and friendly.

The road directly outside worried me at first but it was so quiet at night that I needn't have worried! The road really does not detract from this wonderful hotel!

Friendly atmosphere, wonderful food, cleanliness and location. Nothing was too much trouble and you were treated like one of the family. We were fortunate to have an upgrade to the four poster bedroom and the views were lovely overlooking the meadow. We had stayed here before when the place was under different management so was aware of the comfort of the place.

Fabulous location, comfortable room - really liked the cozy bar area - the food was very good and plentiful. Great atmosphere on the Saturday night, although a bit quiet on other nights, although we were staying out of main season. Owner was very friendly and informatve about the local area.. and great haloween decorations!

We were a bit disappointed with the town - one of the reasons for booking was that the hotel was based walking distance from the town, but the facilities in town were very limited

The location was very good, it was quiet at night, the food was excellent and the staff were great. Also the parking facilities at the hotel was excellent

We felt that there was no facilities for hanging towles to dry after use, and would have liked a more realastic price for the wine at mealtimes.

The rooms were stunning.

I'd booked 3 rooms for me and my family for the night before my wedding. I'd requested a late check out so I could get ready with my bridemaids but this seemed to be an issue with the staff and they didn't have a record of this request. It was quite stressful trying to get ready and being told we could be moved out of the room at any moment as they need to clean the room before other guests were due to arrive. Not a great experience for a bride trying to get ready for her wedding day. It was a real shame as the hotel itself was lovely.

The Electric wall heater in the bathroom did not work at all. The sink had a crack right across it and we felt that this was very unhygenic. One of the bedroom lights did not work. We had breakfast three mornings and although the food was fine the service was abissmal. We ate in the restuarant just one evening; we had steak and it was very tough and the plate very greasy so we ate out for the rest of our stay. At £95 / night I would have expected more. I can assure you we will not revisit this hotel nor will we recommend it to our family and friends. Very dissappointed indeed!

The young staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The bed in room 5 was not comfortable also the bathroom could do with updating.

The restaraunt was fabulous!! Lamb shoulder is a must!! Room was comfortable, beds really comfortable to sleep in!

After seeing The Meadowsweet Hotel on 'Four in a bed' it was good to experience it myself. The outlook from ouf family room was superb and the location spot on. The village itself is very pleasant with ammenities that are just right for us. Lovely stay.

The Meadowsweet is lovely and we had a really good stay. I was a little surprised by the business of the road which lead to road noise that we are not used to at home. After seeing The Meadowsweet Hotel on 'Four in a bed' I would have liked to have seen the owners slightly more during our stay but having said this the pleasant and attentive staff made our stay enjoyable. Could have done with slightly bigger beds as the men in my family are all over 6 feet tall.

Meadowsweet hotel was on channel 4's four in bed and looked to be the perfect location to spend our wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint ! , stunning view's, clean & beautiful large bedroom, excellent food with plenty of vegi options for myself , friendly staff who went of their way to ensuring we were happy & enjoying our stay & nothing was too much trouble for them .

It was well located for our climb up Snowdon and the staff were efficient and very friendly. We are planning on a return in the not too distant future.

Unfortunately, our room wasn't cleaned but it wasn't a bother as we had enough towels and the beds had only been slept in one night but it would have been nice to come back to fresh bottles of water, clean tea cups, a few new packets of ginger snap biscuits and empty waste paper baskets. Maybe there isn't the cleaning staff on Sundays or maybe our room was overlooked.

The best thing about The Meadowseet Hotel is the staff. They were friendly and accomodating and made you feel that they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. When we arrived the booking was incorrect and the staff were quick to sort out another room for us. In the evening, the bar staff were friendly and attentive and very apologetic when they didn't have the drink that I was hoping to have.

The bedroom / bathroom areas of The Meadowsweet Hotel are in need of some tlc. Although all of the areas were clean, the bathroom and bedroom that I stayed in was dated and needed tidying up. There were some great touches like a bottle of water and shampoo / conditioner supplied, but the dated suite and shower that lacked power were definately a let down.
