This Victorian property offers bed and breakfast accommodation just half a mile from the harbour at Seahouses. The stunning Bamburgh Castle is just a 5-minute drive away, and Megstone House provides secure bike storage. Each en suite room comes with free Wi-Fi and is decorated in a traditional style, with four-poster beds also available. Tea/coffee-making facilities are included in all rooms at Megstone, as well as a flat-screen TV and complimentary toiletries. Freshly cooked breakfasts are served daily in the bright dining room with its large stone fireplace. Cereals, fruit, toast and yoghurts are also on offer, as well as juices, coffee and tea. Seahouses and Bamburgh village have several pubs and cafés, and fresh fish is brought in from the harbour daily. Boat trips can take guests out to visit the Farne Islands, home to colonies of seals and marine birds. The A1 Motorway is a 10-minute drive away, giving easy onward access to Alnwick and Newcastle upon Tyne. The warm reception and helpful nature of Paul and Donna really made the weekend for us. Lovely clean spacious room topped off with an excellent breakfast in the morning. Thanks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. can't think of a thing :-)

Fabulous place to stay . Donna and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed and have to say the room was immaculate and the attention to detail couldn't be faulted. Lovely cooked breakfast every morning too ! . Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Megstone House was a fabulous find, immaculate and tastefully decorated 'huge' bedrooms. In a great location for exploring the coast and only a 5 minute stroll into town and the harbour. Donna and Paul are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them and their breakfast was all you needed to set you up for the day ahead. A very friendly welcome in a warm and cosy home, would definately recommend.
