There was a hairdryer and tea making facilities in the room. The shower was for disabled so was one level and a good pressure, but no useful shelf for toiletries. The breakfast was OK but on week days between 7am - 8am only. For one night it was OK for the money. I had a single room which was small and on the ground floor with a window that opened onto the road, making it extremely noisy during the night. The TV was only tuned for radio stations. You had to use the TV in the lounge if you wanted TV. The wash basin had no plug, was too small, no adjustment for the water pressure, which was too fierce and so low it was level with the top of my legs and I'm only 5'3"!!

Nice friendly place, good food, close to Donington Park Circuit Breakfast (although included) was not available until 0900 on Sunday morning. We had to leave by 0800 (not that early). So no breakfast available. . .

First and foremost the design of the hotel/restaurant and cleanliness and equally the food was excellent (Indian cuisine being one of my favourite) and the staff were very kind, polite and most hospitable, I would definitely stay there again and look forward to my next visit when I can sample another of their superb dishes, N/a

The hotel restaurant serves excellent Indian food and the owner and staff made me feel very welcome. It is a quirky place but in a good way. Plenty of car parking and an easy walk into Melbourne centre. Breakfast was a good full English and included in the room price. Very good value stay. The room I stayed in (number 2) could do with a little updating. It was clean and functional but the decor, especially in the bathroom, was a little tatty. No spare power socket for laptop and rattle from extractor flaps and knocking from pub sign in wind that kept me awake (I am a light sleeper), also on a main road so some traffic noise. There is on particularly squeaky floor board but it is an old building. I am sure that other rooms may be quieter.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel was very close to donington park race track which was great for my early start the next day. The food was very good and tasty. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I had a room on the ground floor which was just off the corridor from the restaurant and I could hear doors banging till midnight which was a shame because I needed to be up early the next day.

Friendly, pleasent location, reasonably priced, enjoyable stay. Couldn't open the bedroom window. Should have said on the website it was an indian establishment. (We would stay again if we are in the location). Would have liked breakfast earlier from 8 - 10am.

It's a very beautiful and full character old English pub with an amazing Indian touch, in the middle of the English countryside, close to Melbourne. The rooms are as home and very clean and tidy. We ate in the fabulous Indian restaurant in the hotel. We've got an amazing experience.

I have stayed at the Melboure Arms before and then as this time was always greeted with a warm welcome by the host. We had a family gathering while we were there and every one was made welcome, the staff even made a fuss of the grand children. I will be staying there again on my trip to Melbourne.

The Melbourne Arms is 10 minutes drive from East Midlands Airport and provided Nice Pub surroundings with an Indian Restuarant on site. The room facilities were clean and adequate and provided good value. The Owner is a pleasant man as are his staff, with the Indian Restuarant serving good food.Would recommend.
