the Location with the bus close by( queens road) not far from town pool with spa and sauna good breakfast, weekend entertainment.
noises close to my room
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
The hotel is a little dated, but clean and comfortable
extremely friendly, helpful staff our dog was made to feel equally welcome indoor pool a bonus good breakfast choice beach only a short walk away
parking was a bit tricky, too many 4WDs including ours!
Good location and quiet.
Lack of hygiene and a member of staff who argued with us during breakfast. We felt very uncomfortable and aggrieved. Although we later got an apology, this seemed more like an automated response. Other members of staff appeared to be under terrible strain which was also uncomfortable. Breakfast was very small and decor was very '80s'. The pool area looked dirty and unloved. We were very disappointed by the whole experience which was also very expensive.
The staff could not do enough to assist and they certainly like to have a laugh. A great team spirit and they go the extra mile
Hotel could do with some TLC to improve the overall presentation but to be honest the staff make up for it.
Very friendly staff. Children enjoyed the swimming pool.
Dirty cups and the noise from the people in the room above.
Staff, facilities, location, family facilities ie interlocking rooms, value for money, basically all of it!!
Double bed was a little too soft and the twin room was a little dark but very minor issues
friendly staff pool comfortable beds convenient location
poor quality evening meal parking restricted by allowing parking of coaches in front of hotel
Great spacious family room. Kind helpful staff. Lovely swimming pool.
Has two major selling points. The wonderful swimming pool and the excellent, friendly and helpful staff who will do anything to help. The breakfast is good and the dinner served is also good. Not massive portions either which is not a criticism.
The rooms were a little dated.
The staff were very helpful and gave us a room near the lift for our elderly Labrador. Position of hotel is fantastic for beach and old village. Pool was also good for that rainy day.
Comfort of bed. Clean room. Well cooked and presented full English. Very welcoming staff.
The swimming pool was good and the location of the hotel, nice staff and pleasant dining room
It was very quiet at night, came back at 11 hoping for entertainment and a drink and the bar was just closing , bit early to go to bed when you are on your holidays !!!!!
Great location to explore, great hotel, very friendly helpful staff, dog friendly, walking distance to shops, beach, restaurants etc.
Room was fine but bed was very soft so not a great sleep for us. Realise others may like a soft bed tho!
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The food was very good. It had an indoor swimming pool
Staff was helpful, especially Sara was there through out the day until late night and was always very helpful. Harry served the breakfast paying attention to all.
Rooms were very small and beds were very uncomfortable! I could hear the notice from the room upstairs late at night. For a price per night the rooms and facilities were poor!
customer service excellent indoor pool & Jacuzzi fabulous hearty breakfast lovely comfortable rooms good location near village & beach
nothing it was all fab
Some areas of hotel looking tired / worn due this not presenting clean & inviting. One female member of staff made us feel very uncomfortable at breakfast due to an issue. Although she later apologised we felt the matter could have been resolved without upset if she has used better listening skills in the first place.
Jacuzzi and pool. proximity to beach and town, off-road parking
1970's room need overhauling
I loved the family room I got and the fact that the kids had a separate and distinct space. The staff was friendly, the location fantastic and the pool was great! Value for money!
An average hotel. In need of some TLC, as it is looking dated and out of key with modern tastes. Breakfast ok, they did have kippers etc, so cholesterol level kept down. Only five mins, to either lift or steps to take you down to beachfront.
A power unit with a loud hum goes on 24/7, at rear, and adjacent to bedroom windows. So really annoying, when trying to get some sleep. This not hotels fault, but Parents of small children, who they allow to run around the breakfast room, as if they are at play school. Please give consideration to others who are trying to eat their breakfast.
Everything was wonderful.
The hotel was in a great location and only a short walk from the beach and beach-side bars and restaurants as well as only being a short stroll from the old village part of Shanklin. The room we were given was a super size as was the bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was fantastic value for money.
I can't really say I didn't like anything however an observation would be that the hotel is in great need of updating, it was rather tired in places and the decoration was very old fashioned. This is not a boutique hotel and this is reflected in the prices charged.
Location was good, staff were helpful and friendly, pool area very good. Breakfast was ok but on the kiddies size of things.
Rooms not very clean, dirty toilet, dirty laundry found between a unit and wall left from previous guests which was handed to the receptionist "senior staff member" but they didn't seem bothered or no attempt of an apology offered. Decor looked very tired as if in a time trap of the 70's so needs updating baldy, needs dragging into the 21st century.
