Superior quality of service and accommodation within walking distance of the city. Embraces charm and seclusion and is decorated with individually delightful furniture matched only by the attentiveness of the staff both in front of house and behind.

I stayed room called The Queen Ann Suite which is absolutely gorgeous 4 poster bed room. The staff, especially the lady who helped me on 18th Dec was great. The owner is very nice, too.Breakfast is nice as well.I'd like to stay here again in the future. I heard the noise in the early morning. That was not great for me.

Quiet, clean, comfortable. We had a large room with large en-suite. Very good breakfast. Close to town. Friendly and helpful owners. Parking could be difficult but we got a space.

Very nice guest house - very good value for money. Clean room & very spacious. Free wi fi, near the city centre and good pubs. Staff very helpful. I stayed at the Queen Anne suite. It is on the 1st floor - there is no lift. But staff really willing to help with bags. There was a kind of smell of something burning in the morning... I think it was coming from the kitchen which was right downstairs. The owner should look at it... Otherwise, great guest house.

It is what it says on the Tin!! Fantastic Guest House. Leroy was the 1st person we met at Reception and extremely Polite and knew how to greet you. Staff that we saw were all very much the same and nothing was too much for them. The 'James' Suite was perfect with a view over the small park at the front. The Thai Garden at the rear is secluded and very well tended. In the Summer months I would imagine it to be a little oasis!! Breakfast? Wow!! Salmon and Scrambled Eggs / Toast / Tea or Coffee and plenty of Fresh Fruit and Cereal. All in all we would highly recommend this Guest House for a 1001 reasons..... Well done Staff you are a Credit to Melbury.

It was clean and had a luxurious feel. The location was ideal for the centre of Exeter, parking was no problem. The staff were polite and helpful and obviously took great pride in the surroundings and environment. The atmosphere there was of the utmost comfort. i liked the way you didn't have to check out until 11am, and that you could lie in and choose to have breakfast at 9am if you wished.

Friendly staff, good to have a dvd library and well located for my meeting at Exeter fc. Great choice for breakfast and recommended a really nice restaurant for dinner. Tv reception was poor on many of the channels and the bathroom (plughole and drinking glasses) could have been a bit cleaner, but otherwise very pleasant stay.

We had a very friendly welcome and check in was very simple and fast. Our room was very stylish and comfortable. Access to the city centre is ideal and also for those who are travelling to visit Exeter university. There was a little noise in the very early morning from some uni students on their way home but it didn't disturb us too much. Breakfast was superb- especially the mushrooms which had a very tasty glaze/sauce on them but which the chef sadly wouldn't share his secret!! We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. We were shown some plans for extending the Melbury and were pleased to see that they are rearranging the top floor to make a large family room and en-suite which will definitely be of use to us too.

Very close to the university easy parking lovely room good breakfast quiet location Although Booking.com advertised this hotel as a pet friendly establishment, I was told that it is no longer the case. It would have been nice to have a toilet in the bedroom.

My room at the back of the hotel was quiet and the hotel was in a great location just 5 mins away from the city centre. Couldn't get the TV to work after the first night.
