Nice owners, low price
A "hotel room" in a small house in the midst of a lively family with small kids is not exactly my idea of ideal accommodation.
The bathroom had no required accessories and was full of things from the owners
very friendly, relaxed and a home from home family atmosphere
I like the friendliness of the owner couple and location that makes other parts of London easily accessible.
Lack of privacy because of the sharing of bathroom with other occupants
The hosts were really nice and they have done everything that I feel at home. Thanks for the hospitality
warm friendly greeting on arrival. clean, tidy. ironing board available. free internet not basic with £££ top up. free parking on street close to shops etc ideal for short contractor stays.
very very basic room, someones spare bedroom?
Very friendly hosts!
The family who own the house was very nice. They watched our son several times while we went out to see plays and other things that a toddler would have no interest in and he loved them. Wi-fi is good. There is a bus stop just up the road that takes you to East Ham station so you can get on the tube.
Small, cramped space. I didn't realize that it was actually going to be four families (at max) sharing one shower. Other than the bus stop at the end of the road, the location is terrible. It takes an hour to get anywhere, even by the tube. The house can get pretty noisy, especially early in the morning.
The staff was great and very friendly...the room was nice and we liked the fact it was in a home and not a dorm.
At first the neighborhood looked sketchy...you couldn't tell it was a hostel...but once we walked the neighborhood we realized it was just a good working class area
Price. Friendly owners.
Bathroom wasn't overly clean but not bad...
Not much to say thats good about this place. Basically it is someones house situated in a run down back street of London and they are renting a room out. On arrival we were greeted by Fabiana who herself seems was a nice person but that still didnt make me feel comfortable staying in a strangers house especially with 2 young kids crying. We ordered a twin room but ended up with just 1 boat so my friend ended up staying on a single air bed that they blew up. I would not recommend this as a comfortable place to stay whatsoever!
The price is reasonable
They are not very professional
Friendly welcoming family
Fabiana is very nice, very helpful and always available
The shared bathroom seems to be cleaned regularly but is fairly old and only has the minimum. The bed are not the best but it was OK for me to sleep for 2 night. There is a child security gate at the bottom of the stairs that has several security tricks which makes it complicated to go up and down especially with large luggage.
Owners were very nice.
This is not a hotel, nor is it a B&B (though listed as such), since there was no breakfast. It is, in fact, rooms on the top floor of a small private dwelling in a very run-down part of London. The rooms are okay, and you share a bathroom with everyone else in the house, including the owners. Cleaning is not a priority, nor is quiet, since you can clearly hear the neighbour chewing crisps and opening a can of beer. The photos and the description on booking.com somewhat oversell the place. Accomodation is, however, reasonably cheap, and bus stop and train station are quite close by. At the price, I had expected something slightly more hotel-like.
Friendly owner always offering to help or asking if I needed anything
Thought the price would of included breakfast as the room very tiny for money
An old share bathroom with out even a proper miror, just a small one that you cold not even see the self. In the room just a small towel without mirror. I will never come back again I left after the first day and pay another Hotel.
Excellent value for what I needed, somewhere to stay for London Marathon, not too far from centre (around 15 min walk to East Ham tube). Single room was comfortable and although small, was adequate. Had access to kitchen for cooking etc. Very pleasant and accommodating owner.
Was only given key to room, had to ring doorbell to be let into house so felt a little awkward about getting owner up to answer door. Felt uneasy about returning often, or late at night. I can however understand this policy from the owner's point of view as they are essentially just letting out a room in their home.
Warm nice family house. Helpful, clean, tidy. Definitely stay again.
Malford place is really warm and family place! Very clean and with everything U need. The couple of houner was so much gently and always available. And outside from the place you can find every shop it needs.
Melford place is a bit far away from the center
good area,friendly people
Good location, close to London City airport and close to bus station. Really nice stuff and also very helfull.
The couple who run the B&B are lovely, and very helpful and friendly.
I booked this place because it stated that it was only 2 miles from Victoria Coach Station, when infact it was 20 miles away, and resulted in a costly taxi ride.
