The level lounge was great a good Measure of Gin in the Tonic! Breakfast fantastic.great choice Always a lift available Good service. Staff where nice always a smile.
Room was a little noise, with road traffic Poor food in Spanish Restaurant we may have just gone on a bad day,but we did not end up paying for it,
As it always happens with Meliá hotels, the breakfast was superb.
Our room was a bit dark, but that's just because it was in a corner. Other rooms are probably fine
Only stayed over-night but we got a good deal on this hotel by booking at the right time through booking.com. Breakfast was included in our price and the breakfast was superb, varied and plentiful, setting us up for the day. We arrived 3 hrs before check-in and were offered an "upgrade" and immediate check-in for an additional £36 which I admit we accepted (not what we would normally do). This hotel was good and I would certainly recommend it at a discounted price with breakfast - bit pricy otherwise for a couple of nights stay. Location is good with Great Portland Street tube across the road, Oxford Street 15 mins down the road and Euston a 10 min walk away. This along with the Caesar Hotel near Hyde Park will be the first hotels we will check out next time we're in London.
No negative comments at all.
Location and buffet breakfast was excellent.
We were next to an adjoining room and the occupants were noisy when they came in late at night and didn't realise they were in an adjoins room!
Light, bright and always smells lovely .
Our bill was incorrect on cup heck out ...charged for bar drinks we didn't have .
Great location and very clean.
Our double and bathroom was very small and too much crammed in!! Mean amounts of tea etc for the price of the room
Some staff were great others poor
The location of the hotel is excellent, the decor is really nice too. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.
The queue for the check in was extremely long and it took ages until someone offered us to go and check in at the VIP desk. The £25 fee charged at the check in really surprised me still awaiting for it to be released (allegedly it was gonna be done straight away) and its already been 2 days! The rooms are quite small for what you pay, was offered a downgrade because the king size room I paid for apparently wasn't ready yet when came back to the check in desk to complain they found a ready king size room for us. So don't accept if they want to downgrade you!
Loved design of hotel. Breakfast service ran llike a dream unlike some London hotels. Wonderful choice for breakfast. Tables cleaned quickly and service with a smile in a lovely part of the hotel.
Bathroom lovely, in keeping with style of hotel, however room design was a slight let down and rather dull/drab. Lifts took far too long in mornings, however this was probably due to check outs and breakfast etc
Very nice breakfast At reception they changed our reservation from two twin beds to a double bed, which was a nice gesture
I was expecting the hotel to be a bit more modern, and sometimes you could hear people talking on the corridors
The staff are always friendly and helpful and the standards of comfort and cleanliness good. I stay here whenever I can and in preference to other hotels in the area.
very small room
Pleasing convenient situation. Delightful helpful staff. Good food. Good ambience. Good value in general.
Bottle of water with dinner cost £6.50 - too expensive!
Breakfast was great plenty of choice. Room comfortable beds small bathrooms really nice.
Although my deal included breakfast this didnt seem to have been passed on to the hotel. I had to find confirmation of the booking on my phone and email it to the hotel.
Good location close to Euston Station. Very helpful staff and plenty of them Excellent breakfast Large, well furnished room
loud and noisy. If you are looking for a nice quiet place this is not it. Wi-fi only works 10-20 sec each time- log in log out för the whole stay.
Generally speaking I like the hotel and have stayed there on several occasions in the past and sent my staff to Melia White House when travelling to London, and the Melia hotel. I will never use Melia hotels in both Spain and Brussels. I intend never to use Melia again neither for myself nor my staff.
I was at a meeting in London during the working days and my wife came later to enjoy the stay over the weekend in London. We had invited our friends to join us so my booking over the weekend was for two rooms. Because of a defecating tragedy within my friends family they had to cancel their trip to London. I requested for the second room to be cancelled but was rejected.
asked for twin room as travelling with daughter - was given a double bed and told that I could upgrade at £80 a night to get a twin room! Tried to charge breakfast extra - no explanations for anything - wouldnt stop again.
This hotel is brilliant, the staff are very polite and well mannered, loved the decor, rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. I didn't eat anything from the restaurant but I'm sure that it also matches the quality of the rest of the hotel.
No bad points.
Food, atmosphere, friendly staff
Bed cover was too warm
Breakfast, bar, restaurants in hotel were excellent. Staff helpful and friendly
Room was a bit too small, but overall comfortable
Room was lovely and adequate for my needs. Location was perfect for transport links.
Bathroom was a bit cold (single glazed window) and smelled as though someone had been smoking in it. Very disappointed that breakfast wasn't included in the price. Very noisy as room overlooked a busy road. Flashing wi fi light was a bit disruptive when lights were switched off for the night.
