Good location close to Euston Station. Very helpful staff and plenty of them Excellent breakfast Large, well furnished room
loud and noisy. If you are looking for a nice quiet place this is not it. Wi-fi only works 10-20 sec each time- log in log out för the whole stay.
Generally speaking I like the hotel and have stayed there on several occasions in the past and sent my staff to Melia White House when travelling to London, and the Melia hotel. I will never use Melia hotels in both Spain and Brussels. I intend never to use Melia again neither for myself nor my staff.
I was at a meeting in London during the working days and my wife came later to enjoy the stay over the weekend in London. We had invited our friends to join us so my booking over the weekend was for two rooms. Because of a defecating tragedy within my friends family they had to cancel their trip to London. I requested for the second room to be cancelled but was rejected.
asked for twin room as travelling with daughter - was given a double bed and told that I could upgrade at £80 a night to get a twin room! Tried to charge breakfast extra - no explanations for anything - wouldnt stop again.
This hotel is brilliant, the staff are very polite and well mannered, loved the decor, rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. I didn't eat anything from the restaurant but I'm sure that it also matches the quality of the rest of the hotel.
No bad points.
Food, atmosphere, friendly staff
Bed cover was too warm
Breakfast, bar, restaurants in hotel were excellent. Staff helpful and friendly
Room was a bit too small, but overall comfortable
Room was lovely and adequate for my needs. Location was perfect for transport links.
Bathroom was a bit cold (single glazed window) and smelled as though someone had been smoking in it. Very disappointed that breakfast wasn't included in the price. Very noisy as room overlooked a busy road. Flashing wi fi light was a bit disruptive when lights were switched off for the night.
Location, staff attitude, restorant and bar, especially the lively atmosphere on Friday and Saturday evenings, nice food.
The comfort of the bed, the mattress was very firm.
Location is perfect for access to Piccadilly and Soho, great if you're seeing a show. Staff are very friendly and helpful, full of local knowledge. Free upgrade on arrival to executive room as they happened to have space that weekend. Great Breakfast. overall 8/10.
Great location, lovely superior room, good selection for breakfast. Nice residential area.
great location, facilities and surroundings
very noicy room (standard double) both from traffic and neighbors. Upgrade recommended to get inside room that might be more soundproof. The toilet wasn´t cleaned when I arrived. Wifi was free but slow in my room.
Location was excellent
No breakfast included in the price for the room
Staff are friendly and welcoming Previous stays in 'delux' room far better
small room, that had seen better days sketchy / slow internet small size of room and bed
location is fine, hotel looks very nice, nice, while lively, bar
chaotic checkin, lots of people. hard problems with the room key (worked well "some times"). uncommon lift system A/C control unconventional
A little bit expensive TV no sports channels
The area was not bad, the room was confortable!
The staff was rude and tried to complicate our stay. We have visible piercings and tattoos, but we are not animals, we could afford their hotel otherwise we were not there... They treated us as if we were destroying the hotel, we had to leave a deposit, when we went to check out we were returned by a receptionist who seemed to have never heard of such a procedure. Never again !!
The Breakfast Buffet is really excellent. Well stocked, fresh, tasty with options for all.
The hotel is a 1930's building and the décor and furnishings hark back to the glamour of this period. We have stayed here previously and chose to stay here again because of the atmosphere and ambience. The hotel is near to Paddington as well as a few tube stations. The breakfast was appetising and the inclusion of an iron and ironing board as well as a safety deposit box was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lift system was excellent as you entered your floor number which then allocated you a lift.
The weather was very warm during our stay and although we turned the heating off we had to open the windows as the temperature was stifling. The side of the hotel is on a very busy road and has constant traffic which could affect you if you're a light sleeper.
This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in my life. During my stay, I accidentally damaged something there, in return they kept me out of my room until 3:30am demanding immediate payment. They held my belongings in the room, and refused me even accessing my medication. I had to call the police on them so I can access my room and things. No apologies from them, nothing but humiliation.
Service excellent and knowledgable staff
Checking out of a long wait. Would like to see bar bill broken down by each item, rather than 1 total amount.
The fact that I've stayed there every three weeks wit my son, I stay there because it's close to Portland hospital where my son attends and even though I book through whichever company give me the cheaper price they never have upgraded me as I stay there once a month, why don't they have a look on there system and realise a person who has been loyal with them n offer them a bigger room as oppose to a box room where you couldn't wen swing a cat, my son wears a frame on his leg n there's barely any room for him to walk around the bed to get to other side, I'll be rethinking my stay there as I think with this in mind they could acknowledge there returning customers!!!! Not happy at all!!!
