Only good thing about this place were the Yorkshire tea bags.
whole house was cold. Our room was so cold it felt really uncomfortable. Old sash windows, no double glazing. Totality out of date.
Location, friendliness, comfort and free parking.
Nothing was too much trouble and wonderful breakfast
An absolutely beautiful house and room. Staff were extremely helpful...all in all, I can't rate the Melverley guest house highly enough....thank you so much!
Location to town centre was excellent. The staff were friendly helpful and accommodating. Room was very nice.
Did not like the position of the TV. The angle from the bed made it unwatchable. Would have requested to change rooms if I had been staying longer!
Friendly welcome Lovely room and bathroom Tasty breakfast Very reasonable
Breakfasts were lovely well worth the £7.50 extra especially the waffles!
Friendly helpful staff, good parking and accommodation. 10 min walk to town centre, but only 5 min to excellent park ,lake and art gallery and house. Will come again.
Slightly nearer town would be better but Melverly is one of the nearest.
Four poster bed, good value, free car parking, cheap £4 taxis to city centre, quality cooked to order gluten free breakfast ( Only issue with this is if you are in a hurry and are down at 8.00am the earliest you can expect to finish is 8.40am) Room very large for a guest house with wifi, cooler, tv etc
All good except speed of breakfast
Very clean guest house, helpful couple that run the business. Would definitely stay again!
Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house, very nice and helpful owners, wonderful breakfast and lovely room.
Had a lovely one night stay. Beautiful room with such a comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious and Kim and Graham were very welcoming. Will definitely stay Chang's
There was nothing to not like!
The hosts were very helpful, gracious and friendly.
Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Quiet area and slept very well.
Nothing to dislike.
Excellent location, nice and quiet but just off main routes for access. Well furnished and clean with an excellent breakfast and pleasant & engaging staff. We will definitely use the Melverley again.
Only minor points, but advertised as a B&B but additional fee was required for breakfast (£7.50 per head). We booked the luxury king with 4 poster bed which was a lovely room, but the noise from the pump in the plumbing was loud and woke us up (light sleepers). The proprietor apologized and said it would be looked at.
Good old fashioned hospitality. Wonderful breakfast. Excellent owners keen to listen and please. Much better than well known chains.
All was lovely.
Great thought was given to when we were arriving and a keybox code was provided by text. Excellent breakfast ( extra ) Interestingly the slick reception and meal services seemed to all have all been provided by the man with no sign of the wife who must have been 'backstage' support.
Room 1 would be better suited for a double bed as I slept in a single in the window bay. Noisy traffic and outside floodlights lighting up the room.
Clean rooms Lovely breakfast. Nice decor friendly staff Would certainly recommend
Shower was poor pressure Superior room was tiny.
We had a lovely time at Melverley Guest House. It is |situated in a lovely leafy area, very quiet but near enough to walk into town. Their attention to detail is very noticeable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and Graham was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. This guesthouse comes highly recommended, There is very nice pub The Woolpack on the way down to the town, do try it you wont be disappointed.
There was nothing to dislike
could not fault the guest house. It was a 5star guest house, lovely and very pleasant.
there was not a thing that we did not like. and we are going to make it a yearly event thank you very much.
This is an absolute gem of a Guest house. The staff were friendly and absolutely dedicated to making visitors feel welcome and valued. The standard of décor is fantastic and they have tastefully renovated rooms to a very high standard in keeping with the period. Breakfast brilliant-locally sourced ingredients. The location is great, very close to Christchurch gardens, and a short walk into the city centre and to the waterfront.
Couldn't fault it
Friendly staff, nice room, clean and comfortable beds, great location, very good breakfast cooked to order, fast wifi, late check-in no problem (lock box outside holds the key)
The shower is non-detachable (i.e. only sprays from above). This is standard in most hotels, but I really like hotels where it can be detached and held. A very minor complaint of course!
The whole package
Very comfortable Bed & Excellent Facilities
Friendly and helpful hosts; Spacious and very comfortable rooms; Good breakfast with a varied choice.
