Hotel war sehr charmant und landschaftlich reizend situiert, das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, was teils familiären Eindruck vermittelt. Das Hotel eignet sich besonders für entspannenden Aufenthalt abseits der City, für Erkundungen und flexiblen Transport ist man auf Auto / Taxi angewiesen. Anbindung von City Centre zum Hotel und zurück im Taxi empfehlenswert, da Hotel etwas abseits vom Weg gelegen (darauf muss man vorbereitet sein, sonst Flexibilität außerhalb des Hotelangebotes eher bechränkt ) |

A nice quiet place to stay and easy to find On arrival our booking had not been sent therefore we were kept waiting. Fortunately there was a spare room for us however this was not totally clean and the TV did not work taking 2 days to put right. |

having stayed before we knew the hotel. the rooms are good value and the castle is in a picturesque location Unfortunately the service was very poor. We ate in the hotel for dinner and the person who served us was quite rude at times and none too helpful in recomending an alternative to our choice of wine which had run out. However the breakfast was a disaster. We waited over 35 minutes for a table, being turned away 3 times from the eating area. we were left to look for a table ourselves as other late diners were seated before us. When we finally got a table there was a very poor quality and quantity of food available. The staff did provide fresh food but only after coaxing from a wedding party who had been seated for almost an hour. On our previous visit the breakfast had been a highlight of the stay. the staff could not cope and were not experienced in dealing with other customers complaints. This poor service detracted from an other wise good choice in terms of room and location |

We were upgraded to a suite when a fault in our window kept us all awake most of the night. Staff were very helpful and problem was sorted straight away. No facilities inside for kids during bad weather! Should invest in outside play area. Food nice but pricey. |
