Score from 1108 reviews Very good
The heating was broken , poor breakfast , facilities were poor (no iron machine in the room)
The staff were friendly but not as professional
heating did not operate in the first provided room. Cold water.Hot water was coming out after 20 minutes. No elavator. Paint smell in the first room provided.
free wifi. Very convenient area
The mattress has seen better days, and getting up the narrow stairs could be a problem if you had heavy bags.
Room was fine -- small but adequate. Quiet and very convenient. Friendly staff.
Friendly staff, I booked a single room but given a twin double room. It was clean. Quiet area.
temperature of water in the shower to low. Room #4
Very good bed. Good location
Our room was on the fourth floor.
The size of room and cleanliness of property . Breakfast was good value.
The shower was terrible and the water was either cold or burning hot.
Very limited operation of heating on very cold days make rooms cold.
Location, pleasant staff and clean.
The stairs, and the breakfast
Bed was comfortable
The location of the hotel is perfect. You can walk everywhere and Euston station is very close. My favorite thing was the full english breakfast! The room was clean and confortable. Great value for the price.
No bad experiences but sometimes the room for a single traveller is very small but adequate
Extremely convenient for Euston, 5 minute walk. Very quiet, overlooks a small gated park. Warm. Good plated hot breakfasts.
Good location very close to Euston station & St Pancras. Room was very small and up very narrow stairs but comfortable and clean. For the price it was very acceptable.
The room was very small, and it was in a direct view from other rooms, so the occupants of other rooms could see inside my room. There was also much noise around the room.
Staff was helping and polite. I liked the breakfast.
nothing to dislike
Friendly & good location
We got a room on the groundfloor next to the entrance hall. Because of people entering the hotel all night long, we didn't sleep for one tiny bit. We believe it is unacceptable this space is being rented out as a room. The staff told us they never had complaints before, which was obviously a lie. Luckily we received another room for our second night which was perfectly fine. In sum: Never accept the room on the groundfloor and no friendly staff.
Very convenient and quiet location, near King's Cross Station, tube.Save me time for traveling London and other cities.Nice and plenty English breakfast.Free wifi is important to us,because my children use Internet a lot.
As i got there late I had the room on the 3rd floor, which was a trek with luggage as there was no lift, especially as I went up the wrong stairs so had to do it twice. Breakfast only available from 7, could do with an earlier start.
Friendly receptionist, decent room, decent brekky. Would stay again.
The only thing I was not happy about is the shower in my room did not work.
Generally very good!
Coldness - heating only in the late evening and late morning. I arrived before 9 am, was waiting for check-in till 1 pm in the extremely cold waiting area, wasn't offered even a cup of tea or coffee.
Location. Wi-Fi was good quality and available all time. Good breakfast. Nice friendly blond girl who serves the breakfast and cleans the rooms.
There's major building work going on across the road which starts at 7am but that's not the hotels fault
Room was freshly decorated including the shower room, clean, comfy bed, helpful staff and the location was perfect for me. Breakfast was decent, relatively cheap.
Reception staff appear terse and not interested in relating to their customers.
Good location and very clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was good. I liked the bacon and tomatoes and the excellent fresh fried egg. Waiting staff were quick and charming
Insufficient powerpoints and no where to work at a desk/table
Location and friendly staff
The shower in my room didnt work properly, only a dribble of water. Reported it at 8am. Returned at 7pm only to find the shower only worked with the hot tap turned fully on (scalding). When hot was turned down the shower stopped. Reported this and checked out of the hotel.
Expensive for b&b
Location, clean, comfortable, privacy
The shower stall could use a bar to hold on to and a little shelf for soap and shampoo, but does offer a dispenser with liquid soap. The room had only one small garbage can, and none in the bathroom.
Location, comfortable rooms and price make the Mentone a good choice for travellers on a budget in an expensive city like London.
