staff were very helpful and friendly
the stairs are steep and no elevator. I had no problem, but imagine some people may prefer the 1st to the 4th floor...
Got last room for one night, and was given a family room with 1 double and two singles. I'm a single guy travelling alone. Wish I got this every time I booked. Breakfast reasonable and included in price. Location great near to Euston and everything.
I was on basement level next to breakfast room and cleaning equipment. Next morning was woken up early by building work outside. The whole area is being rebuilt it looks like. Inside was noisy also with breakfast and cleaners outside my door. hustle and bustle from both sides. I wasn't bothered that much but can see how others would be. Building work not the hotels fault and basement room is luck of the draw I suppose so can't mark them down for that.
Location - quiet street near to Kings Cross and Euston. The staff were friendly. The price. It's nothing fancy, but for an overnight stay in London, close to the stations, I would recommend this hotel.
Nothing. IT was as I expected.
Clean & comfortable, convenient for tube. Good English breakfast. Staff friendly & helpful. Good value
Twin room with two double beds. Great WiFi. Fabulous breakfast. Clean, and well decorated. Luggage storage on the leaving day. Price for what we got.
I'm being really picky here... Only 90% for cleaning. Lots of stairs. Couldn't work out how we would escape if there was a fire on our stairs.
Lovely sized room, stylishly decorated and immaculately clean. Very comfy bed and ample storage space.
The shower room was very small and I had to leave the door open to bend over the sink. Not a problem when travelling alone but if both double beds were occupied it may become one.
Bed and pillows, good breakfast too all though the room was small and not big enough for the amount of people eating
The shower, would not even get to a tepid temperature in the morning, let alone hot
The location near st Pancras station was just perfect, good connections around London and to Paris. Quite peaceful surroundings. Clean, nice hotel, friendly staff. We ordered full breakfastplate, and after eating that plus some bread and youghurt and couple cups of good coffee you didn't have to stop for having a snack for many hours. Real english breakfast!
The view from our window to inner yard, but not a big deal for us, visited in hotel for only two nights.
Has been improved since last visit, very good and convenient location for an occasional weekend stay for sightseeing, visiting museums, art galleries et al.
No lift, otherwise nothing else specific comes to mind. because I was aware of this, I booked a front facing double room for single occupancy.
Location is wonderful - a quiet place in central London, just 5 minutes walk to Russel underground station from which one gets to the Heathrow Airport in 50 minutes without changing trains. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was too small for three persons, the fixed shower caused some discomfort.
Breakfast, location, baggage storage, helpfulness of staff
Noise on the roof from building repair or renovation, walking up & down 4 flights of stairs
The location is great, short walk from Euston Station and the breakfast is good.
I had a ground floor room, the windows are not double glazing so was noisy.
Decent breakfast - all in all a good value stay
TV connection needs to be more secure, a minor gripe though
Room was nicely decorated, clean, bathroom pleasant.
Room 32 in the basement and the tube line from Kings Cross to Russell Square runs under the hotel, right under the bed. If you want an early night this is not the room for you, tube train every minute. Other rooms higher in the building may not suffer this noise.
I paid only £75 for a midweek stay; that doesn't normally get great accommodation in central London. However, this was well located, very comfortable and quiet, and whilst decor was a little tired, it was clean. Breakfast was good for the price.
I was on the 3rd floor - not a massive problem for me, but a bit of a climb with no lift!
5 minutes walk to Kings Cross and Euston, friendly welcome and room was available early. Room cosy and comfortable, bathroom clean.
No baggage storage so there were lots of suitcases blocking the entrance to the reception. The building is very warm.
Location, location, once again location! I had a very good sleep too, thanks to getting a room on the third floor, far from any noise:)
Frendly staff, good location (close to a transportation but quiet), clean, moderately priced
Lack of elevator
Great little Hotel in fab location, excellent breakfast.Newly decorated room
Room was small but no problem for 1 night stay. wifi didn't work in room, had to move out onto stairs
Breakfast was great, well stocked up for the day ahead and the staff where quick
Before arriving on my booking form has asked for gluten free bread for one of our party, asked again on arrival, did not get any for the breakfast on the first morning, and after asking again and being promised that there would be gluten free bread for the mornings breakfast again, they still did not deliver with no apoligies, we had askes for axtra pillows, did not get, the phones did not work in all the rooms we had and we where scattered around the whole hotel.
We have used this hotel at all different times since 1983. We have never been disappointed. Close to all rail systems, food etc. good breakfast. This time we left early and was given a breakfast to take with us the night before. Will still continue yo book there.
location - within walking distance to St Pancras and Kings Cross (that is why I booked there), Bloomsbury and museums, restaurants and cafes (as above). staff and service - both the receptionist (who helped me with my heavy suitcase) and the ladies of the breakfast room are friendly and professional. room - obviously small, but not so small for a single, just renovated and spotless clean as well as the bathroom, with a comfortable bed / mattress. breakfast - full English cooked to order, with beans and tomatoes, plus mushrooms on Sunday (which I greatly appreciated: I'm a vegetarian and in many hotels of this kind and in this area the only option would be toast and cereals).
Location is great - Russell Square, Euston, Euston Square, St Pancreas, Kings Cross all within 10 minute walk. Good breakfast for B & B
Breakfast only served 7:30 - 9 (M-F) & 8 - 9 (weekends). Shower luke warm 2 out of 4 days
Location was great!
They sprung a price increase on me for my last night, plus 135GBP a night for that bed is a little upsetting.
Breakfast room staff Cleanliness of room
old staircarpet and surliness of reception staff
