Easy to find. Spacious rooms. Clean and a big bed. Excellent location. Very dated, heating was constantly on and could not be turned off. We were on the bottom floor and could not open the windows as it was dangerous. Water in taps was hot, no cold water. |

A very comfortable hotel. Obviously one of Bournemouth's older buildings, but well looked after, our room was huge with bay windows overlooking the sea.All of the staff seemed to genuinly wanted to make our stay enjoyable. The leisure facilities were clean, well staffed, but limited, the sauna was very small, but for this type of hotel fine. the shower curtain in our bath room was too long and decidedly manky. We don't always pay for newspapers. |

The beds were very old and could feel the springs coming through, but we were staying for a wedding and would say it was okay apart from not sleeping well |

Not enough tea coffee milk supplied in room. The porter lost our luggage and an anxious time was had by all. |

It's location. Also Phil the night porter was extreemly friendly and helpful, he made us feel very welcome and our requests were no problem at all, really nice guy and an asset to your hotel we feel. Yes, The reception staff were neither helpful or polite. One girl was very rude to us because we couldn't find our room. She didn't point us in the right direction and then made us feel like we were bothering her when we had to go back and ask again. |

Very welcoming staff, spotless room, good breakfast, 10 min stroll to town centre, right by the beach, fast wireless Interent connection, a most pleasant stay Some of the decor is in need of refurbishment, such as carpets starting to look a little worn in places in my room, but I wouldn't let that dissuade me. |

Great Location, good quality room, gym and sauna and quality of food. The shower water pressure was terrible and there was no free or pay Wi-Fi apart from overpriced BT openzone. |

The location is ideal for access to the beach and the town centre and is free from traffic noise. The room smelt like an ex smokers room or had previously had smokers in it. |

The whole experience, the staff, the restaurant-silver service-linen tablecloths. The atmosphere we found very relaxing. My wife and I had a lovely time and will come back. Just right!! |

Evening meals were excellent. The bed was very comfortable, The bathroom was good and the shower was good. Supposed to be "best view in Britain" but the windows were filthy inside and out, thus spoiling beautiful sea view. Breakfast was always cold because plates were cold and had to wait for various hot items to be topped up. Cocktail bar was closed at 23.05 - had to find night porter and wait long time for him to serve drinks to large number of people in lounge. Rubbish was outside room upon our arrival and on 3rd day we had to ask Reception to have it removed. We told the Duty Manager about our dissatisfactions upon checking out and the Manager was supposed to contact us by phone the next day. One week later, we have not hear a word. |

The bathroom was small with outdated plumbing. Whilst breakfast was routinely well organised, Sunday's order for a mushroom omelette resulted in a plan omelette with mushrooms on the side and for a cheese omelette a plan omelete was delivered with some grated cheese sprinkled on before it was folded over. |

We liked the relaxed style breakfast. The pool and gym facility. The close location to the sea. The evening meals were ok but would prefer more vegetables. Did not like the fact you had to pay supplements for certain dishes. |

We stayed two nights. There was no hot water the first night and next morning so we had to boil up our room kettle to have a wash. We think it was disgraceful not to be advised of this problem on arrival. Having just arrived from a 3 star hotel the Carlton was far worse. |

The efficiency and friendliness of staff. The clifftop position, the gardens, the pools. The relative quality of the evening meal. The ample provision of public sitting-rooms, The pleasantly "dated" ambience of the earlier parts of the structure. The view from and size of Room 109. Insufficient lifts. Small criticisms of room provision and comfort, In Room 109 the wardrobe space is hopelessly difficult to use. Tissues should be provided. Better lighting ( particularly for reading in bed ) is needed. A television that ( as promised ) allows radio to be heard. Noisy bathroom as other guests wash etc. |
