In historic Stratford-Upon-Avon Central, on the edge of the scenic Cotswolds, this Premier Inn has comfortable, modern accommodation. The town’s tourist attractions are just a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 233 reviews Very good
Overlooking the RSC Theatre, this 17th-century riverside hotel has parking and a bar. The town centre is a 5-minute walk away and the rail station is 15 minutes’ walk from the building.

Score from 787 reviews Very good
Set in a Grade II listed building, this historic hotel has gone through a £3 million restoration project, yet still retains its original features, open fires and wonderful antiques.
Score from 743 reviews Superb
Everything. The staff are very helpful & friendly. The atmosphere is excellent, lovely in December with the Xmas trees & log fires. Our daughter married in the hotel last December & that was such an amazing experience we have decided to re-visit every year.
Staff were lovely and spa gorgeous.
Room was like a travel lodge (but a lot more expensive) and noise from the heating system made sleep impossible. Not a nice experience at all.
From arrival to departure, loved everything. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Told her we had stayed there 40 years ago for our honeymoon and she upgraded us and they gave us a card....nice touch
Spa and food
Spa outstanding Food a pleasure to behold as well as eat Close to Stratford for sightseeing Convienient for M40 Bathrooms very up-to-date View from room lovely Bed huge and very, very comfortable
The staff were clearly very poorly trained. Breakfast staff simply said 'it's over there', with no mention of the menu. Check in took 15 minutes. Check out staff didn't print invoice, just said how much it was. We ordered the Times and it didn't arrive. When we asked if we could have the one at reception they said no. All in all, the service was pretty appalling and the hotel was very tired looking. The management clearly can't be bothered to train their staff.
Apartment was very spacious with 2 double bedrooms, lounge area and kitchen. Very clean. Beautiful grounds. Spa had good facilities and clean. beauty therapist very friendly and amazing massage.
Paying for robe and slippers in Spa - should be complimentary for the cost of the break.
Great old manor Nice romantic setting Lovely leisure facilities (if working) Manager helpful when made complaint
no champagne in room even tho booked it. Half of facilities not working in spa Room too hot radiator wouldn't turn off Moved rooms 3 times due to dirty rooms
Beautiful grounds and garden, the spa facility particularly good value....highly reccomend taking up one of the treatments
Nothing not to like.....if I'm being picky the building a bit old and tired in the original parts but that's old buildings for you!
Absolute luxury. Excellent spa. Food was fantastic and staff attentive. It was like staying at Downton!
WiFi kept dropping connection which was annoying
Liked the Spa facilities and the staff were very helpful and friendly
Hotel was extremely hot all the time. Food for evening meal and breakfast was only fair and not good value for money
Location superb, great ambience and staff very friendly
nothing, we had a great leisure break and will definitely go back to this hotel
The whole complex and setting is beautiful and all the hotel staff were exceptional.
Price of the wine was overated
The Hotel grounds are stunning the inside is lovely too.
Asked a member of staff for some more towels and the answer we got was a one word answer NO!!! Asked her again and got the same word NO!!. WIFI does not work at all
Excellent spa, lovely setting ans rooms
Breakfast was very disappointing. Cooked breakfast had to be sent back twice but still cold and unappetising. Toast cold and some of it burnt. Not asked whether happy or in need of more hot drinks.
Food was good. Location convenient. Room functional but comfortable
WiFi did not work in room. I suspect because we were in the room farthest from the main hotel in the newish annex. Left two messages at golf shop to book a tee time, never returned calls. Finally on third attempt got through but said they had not picked up messages.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are lovely and exceeded our expectations. Very peaceful relaxing location perfect for visiting Stratford and Warwick.
Twin beds pushed together instead of a double bed
liked the swimming pool and fitness room
new extension has thin walls, could hear normal conversation through them. Wifi access was very slow
Executive Room to which we were taken fell far short of expectations. We complained and were given a much better room, although net curtains and main curtains were shabby
All staff were excellent friendly helpful an efficient we had an excellent stay and would definitely stay again
Our room, the location, the views, the décor, the furnishings
The guy working the bar could have tried to smile occasionally. It's all very well being called "Sir" in a swanky environment, but an unsmiling barman (when you're smiling at him) is a bit unexpected. I suggest he takes himself a little less seriously
The house, spa and gardens are beautiful, as was our room.
Service was terrible for a hotel of this quality. Our heating was broken, it took staff 5 hours to bring us a plug in heater after we requested one. No hot water first night so we had to use spa showers. Internet connection kept cutting in and out. Service at dinner was very slow. They forgot our breakfast in bed the following morning, and when it did finally come it was lukewarm and missing various parts of the order. I have never complained at a hotel before but felt compelled to given the number of issues and the high cost of the stay. They offered us a 50 pound discount but sadly still a birthday treat weekend ruined by terrible service. Cannot recommend and will not return.
The doorman was snooty. I rode up to the hotel on my bike. Ignored me. Ignored me a bit more. I asked him where reception was, he pointed to it. Everyone else got 'sir' or 'madam'.
Had exec room which was really nice. Reception staff helpful. Spa very nice pool and hot tub !! Fantastic location. Not to far from Stratford. Nice Period Hotel.
Breakfast was awful and is charged at £18.75.Soggy bacon, poor quality sausages no hash browns, toast eggs and tea/coffee took 25 minutes to arrive ! When complained restaurant manager gave full refund, but blamed it on the clocks going forward !! What a farce !! Drinks in Bar very expensive
Location and old charm
Tired décor, food very poor in the restaurant.
