The ambience was just perfect, The magnificant building in beautiful surroundings , and brilliant golf and spa facilities, The staff were lovely, and very efficient, the gourmet food is fantastic and delicious. breakfast was great, plenty of choice and generous self service. Sept 2011. The basic rooms are looking a little tired and bathrooms need some tlc and updating , showers etc. Only other draw back the basic room we stayed in was at the side where the trades worked and was far too noisy in the early hours with very loud banging and a lot of activity going on, We did'nt feel too rested in the mornings due to this.

It felt like a real treat although extremely affordable. The location was fantastic, secluded and yet a short walk into Stratford. Spa, gym and pool facilities as well as excellent and attentive staff made for a fantastic stay.

The Spa was absolutely excellent. Whilst the serving staff themselves were excellent, the service in the restaurant was extremely slow. At breakfast, several items had run out and had not been replaced and other items were cold.

The position of the Hotel is excellent. The Hotel is set in 157 acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside, but, what they dont tell you is that 156 acres of it are set aside for golf !!!. Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against golf, but we went there with our dog hoping for some good walks through the stunning grounds, but we ended up going into Stratford and walking along the River. Because we had taken our dog with us we were given a ground floor room which was fairly large, but was in need of some re-decoration. The breakfasts were good, but expensive. We only had one dinner, which was very good, but, very, very expensive, and the wine list prices could make your eyes water !!!!.

The staff were attentive yet kept their distance, a good balance. The atmosphere was superb, very relaxing, with great facilities in the Spa and in the room. Beautiful gardens and countryside for lovely walks on a sunny day. An all round excellent way to recharge your batteries.

Excellent location to explore Stratford on Avon area. Food, dining room, bar and rooms were very good. Golf was too good for me. Our meals were very good with one exception, the main course sea trout was so small it was a starter....!

The place is majestic situated on the door step of historic Stratford providing spacious accomodation and not forgetting the luxury of an iMac. The spa was bountiful with a sauna, steam room, tepidarium and much more and as guests you could continue to indulge yourself after checking out. The staff are attentive and hospitable.

The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location close to Stratford. The staff could not have been more helpful, polite and professional. I booked this weekend as a romantic getaway and I couldnt have been more delighted with everything, from breakfast overlooking the beautiful gardens, to a comfortable well appointed room overlooking the main body of the house and the garden. It also helped that we had beautiful weather. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a romantic and memorable getaway. The spa and pool also looked lovely but we didnt manage a trip in there during our stay. Hopefully on our next visit. I cannot find fault with this hotel at all - We loved it.

This was a great hotel with an amazing location and great spa also with a great staff that i would more than happily recomend and return to. My advice would also be to go for the large rooms because they are breathtaking. My only very slight downside and more for personal preference was a.rather firm bed and no fridge but this realy is forgetable and dont let this put you off at all.

From the moment we arrived we could not fault the staff, they were attentive, professional, courteous and knowledgable. As it was my partners birthday we recieved a free upgrade which was a great surprise. In our deal was breakfast and dinner, sadly the breakfast on both mornings let down the side. The Spa was really good with fantastic facilities. We can't wait to go back. For a Hotel with 2 aa Rosettes the breakfast needs a bit of work!!!!! It's not a good idea to garnish breakfast with salad leaves.

The staff above all- friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. The fireplace, the spa all excellent. Beautiful grounds, with lovely walks all around. The dinner menu was unusual, but excellent. The coffee and tea at breakfast was awful !

The staff was very friendly and professional and the facilities were superb. Our rooms were very clean, and extremely well appointed and we were travelling with our whippet, so to find a hotel that's pet friendly and so luxurious is a real treat! The continental breakfast was fantastic and with a great selection of juices, fruit, c,wreaks and breads / patisseries. We shall definitely return! The only thing I would say is that the mattress was a bit lumpy and we found ourselves rolling to the middle of the bed, but we still had a good night sleep. And I wouldn't let that put me off staying there again.

Lovely relaxing afternoon by the log fire followed by dinner and late night drinks- service was sometimes a bit slow but we learnt to chill. All the staff were very pleasant! Breakfast looked a little bit like a scrum - I think we all turned up at the same time ! We did get food etc but would prefer not to be hassled by other guest whilst doing it !

Although on a package we had an excellent roonm with views and mfortable surroundings (in these circumstances one is often relegated to poor accommodation) The groundas are very beautiful and close to Christmas is an excellent time to visit stratford The spa was excellent and the cleanliness very good - The staff were quite heklpful but didn't all have immediate local knowledge eg of their own surroundings - for a walk off their grounds!! little explanaion of the spa facilities offered to a visitor however
