Overpriced. No elevator. The hotel is a joke. Please take of your list.
The hotel is based in the centre of Glasgow and was ideal for me since this was my first visit to the city. The staff were polite and friendly. I would definitely stay in the hotel again.
If like me you love a cup of tea in your room after a long day it is frustrating to find only one teabag but loads of sugar. I am sure a couple of extra bags wouldn't break the bank. The hotel is situated next to a bar/club and over the weekend it did get quite loud but next time I will bring ear plugs!
2 mins from everywhere i wanted to go wld stay again
Breakfast was included (continental). Tea and coffee facilities in room. Rooms were warm.
Windows were very high and was open slightly. Couldn't close the window which resulted in a lot of noise coming from the street.
No lift Very basic Very noisy late at night
The room and bathroom were very decent. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Glasgow. Near nightlife and restaurants of Merchant City and near transport hubs.
The staff were very casual and didnt look like they cared. There was something a bit odd about the atmosphere. The room would not lock from the inside.
Location in Central Glasgow was excellent for all City Centre sites. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Facilities were clean and pleasant in a beautiful setting.
Opposite nightclub Tiny room Very basic Poor breakfat
The staff during the night was nice (in contrast to the one who was there during the day). He was a very funny guy!
The staff in the morning was not nice! We basically arrive around 11 AM and since our room wasn't ready, we asked if we can just leave our luggage so that we can go out and find food and return when the room is ready. He said NO, you cannot leave your stuff because of this and that.. Really a bit frustrating when you can't leave your luggage. Hotels SHOULD expect their visitors to leave their luggages before they check-in and when they check out!
It was very noisy at night, no lift for older peole
Price. Outside noise Squeaky headboard
Bathrooms were quite modern and very clean. Kitchen chef was friendly.
Breakfast room a little scary/poor atmosphere and not appealing. Condiments from jars with knife in it, not a good look. Overcrowded so everyone is squashed in at the toaster, need to move a few tables back so there is room for everyone.
Liked the staff and the location. It is an old building with character. Not expensive, not luxurious but value for money.
Amazing spiral staircase. Cooked breakfast was quite good. Central location.
It was very central and staff were helpful and friendly
There was a lot of noise at night from the surrounding establishments which did not lead to a good night's sleep
Not informed of spiral stair case when booking , I was on the 3 rd floor, poorly lit entrance , difficult to find at night, floors not carpeted.
friendliness of the family who run the hotel, the personalised level of service, location, home comforts.
The staff is nice. The hotel is right in the centre. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and with a lot of choose.
very clean Friendly staff.Good breakfast.
The location was excellent for what I needed. The bed was as I liked and had a good nights sleep Being on the ground floor
The stairs down to the basement were very steep, so very pleased I was not on an upper floor as I could not had managed them
Few minutes away from train station.
Fantastic location. Great size room. Modern bathroom for historic building..four single beds.
My dad is 84 and my 2 sisters and I have bought home from Australia He found the 80 steps from breakfast to our room difficult. No lift and poor breakfast. No fridge.
So central, just a short walk from the station. Interesting building, pleasantly furnished room, large bathroom. Excellent value for money with free wi-if and continental breakfast included.
Stylish up lighters meant it was too dark to read in bed.
