Location Helpfulness of staff
Excellent location enjoyable stay
The location is great, very central. The 300yr old winding stair is a feature. The tv channel choice is good. The shower is powerful and the bathroom is is very clean and neat.
No lift. The price doesn't reflect the quality. The booking description on the internet is very different to reality. The breakfast service and time is limited. 'Couldn't open the window. Beds very uncomfortable, no spare blankets. Poor lighting and lock on the door.
Location, friendly staff, clean rooms, free wifi and comfort. I've stayed here twice in the past 9 months, and I will return.
The early breakfast would have suited us better if it was a little later in the morning.
Breakfast is not very good, I was missing ham, cheese etc.
The location was fairly central
Travel cot wasn't there despite me checking day before. When it came it was dusty and the staff member was quite unprofessional when sorting it out. Bed wasn't amazing and the floor in the room wasn't properly cleaned. Breakfast was not very good.
Location, and friendliness of staff. Close to shops, bars, restaurants.
Location, it was warm, clean and staff.
Breakfast, toilet door did not lock and noise from nearby club/bar which was to be expected as it is in the city centre.
Very handy as just off the main road and a 5 min walk from Glasgow Central ... 1 min walk to shops . Great location ..
Lovely decor and very clean. Beds were super comfy and room had black out blinds. Thoroughly enjoyed our lie in.
The cheapy 2 ply loo roll! Not in keeping with the rest of the place. Seems like such a small thing but would have been a perfect stay otherwise.
Location good for shopping , eating, drinking and train stations
Room could be doing with more lighting
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was very quiet. Location is just perfect!! Right in the city center!
Bathroom had a bad smell coming from the pipe.
-Very nice room. -Staff were friendly. -Great location.
-Bed was a bit squeaky. -Almost lost our key in a crack on the bed and the cleaning lady had found it and left it there, even though she knew we were looking for it. With a fifty pound charge, we were not too happy about that.
Comfy bed and good location
Building was roasting throughout, felt like I couldn't breathe sometimes. Floor of the room was very dirty, room could have been laid out way better
The room was very comfortable and warm, we were on the ground floor, breakfast was continental with a choice of an extra £3.00 for a cooked breakfast worth paying for as basic choice other wise.if anyone is a bit on the unfit side of things please note no lifts so not ideal.
The choice was basic with asda brands, the shower cubicle was very small,on a infection control issue staff carrying laundry (dirty )through the dinning room whilst guests are having breakfast shouldn't be allowed
Location. Rooms were comfortable
Breakfast served too early and it was new year's day. Rooms far too warm and unable to adjust temperature as radiator thermostat not working at all.
The location and friendly staff
Nothing to complain over and didn't mention on my stay but did feel the lighting in the room wasn't great, bit dim but nevertheless all other aspects were faultless.
Staff were triendly
The reception was pleasant and helpful
Cooked breakfast was cold, the bin in my room had not been cleaned since the last guest, lights were flickering in the room! I've stayed in many hotels in Glasgow and this is the worst hotel I've been in :(
Lovely hotel central to everything. Comfy rooms. I had a quiet room. Friendly Staff. I think more people should travel to Glasgow as it is a beautiful city and the Glasweigan people are very friendly.
My room was quiet although a friend of mine had a room on the side street where bars are open till 3am. No big deal though.
Our room was in the basement and was incredibly cold. The staff were unhelpful when we requested that the heat be turned on and when requesting assistance with taxis etc. In addition, the room itself was dusty and very noisy early in the morning as it was beside the breakfast area.
Nice room. Great location
Single glazed windows onto noisy street
We enjoyed our overnight stay and found the room clean and cosy. The double bed was The most comfiest I have ever come across in a Hotel room. The location was superb and right in the heart on Glasgow City Centre. I would return for a future stay
bed was very comfortable, hotel heated throughout my stay
maybe need to change doors to card key access, not the hotel's fault but other guests too loud first thing in morning rattling keys and locking doors
